Vancouver Canadians Baseball

The Vancouver Canadians is the NWL minor league baseball team that plays at Nat Bailey Stadium from June to September during its regular season home games.


2020 SEASON CANCELLED

Due to the coronavirus, the Canadians initially postponed their spring training. On June 30th, the league announced that the season is officially cancelled.

The Vancouver Canadians

The Vancouver Canadians are one of Metro Vancouver’s main professional sports teams with the others being the Vancouver Canucks for hockey, Vancouver Whitecaps for soccer, and BC Lions for football.

Affiliated with the Toronto Blue Jays and part of the Northwest League, the Vancouver Canadians play other baseball teams from Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Vancouver Baseball Venue

The Vancouver Canadians home games are at the Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium which is located at 4601 Ontario Street. Nat Bailey Stadium is also the venue for the Riley Park Winter Farmers Market (which runs from November until April) and is next door to Queen Elizabeth Park.

Northwest League Season Schedule

The regular season for the NWL League and Vancouver Canadians typically runs from June until September. However, the 2020 season has been cancelled due to COVID-19.

Below is what the home game schedule for 2020 season was going to be.

Note: On eight or so of the dates the game was going to be followed by a short fireworks display which would have made for a great way to finish off the night. Fireworks and other special event dates and details for 2021 are to be confirmed.

NWL Minor League Championships

The baseball season usually finishes for the Vancouver Canadians at the beginning of September. The Divisional Series and Championship Series then run from early to mid-September.
