Vancouver’s Art Immortal Halloween Attraction at the Beaumont Studios

Art Immortal Halloween Attraction

Art Immortal is a Halloween experience at the Beaumont Studios in Vancouver. The attraction features several escape rooms with an artificial intelligence twist.

STATUS UPDATE

Art Immortal was supposed to happen during the Halloween season in 2022, but got cancelled.

The venue is hosted two different events in 2023. The first is The Shine: A Stephen King themed Cocktail & Burlesque Bonanza. It ran from October 19th to 27th at 7:00 and 9:00 pm. The event featured three unique rooms to explore. There were decorations and characters from Stephen King’s works. There was also a cocktail experience to enjoy. Admission cost about $60.

Beaumont Studios also presented INSOMNIA on Saturday, October 28th. It was a night full of DJ music in three separate rooms. There were house and disco tunes, mashups and other genres to listen to. The event ran from 9:00 pm until about 3:00 am. Tickets cost $50 per person.

Hosted by The Beaumont Studios, Art Immortal was supposed to be a Halloween-themed experience for adults only. It was an interactive and live exhibition showcasing AiYa, an AI artist. The walk-through event was going to be a journey through the mind of artificial intelligence in a venue decorated like a haunted house.

Guests were to traverse through multiple escape rooms packed with riddles and puzzles. There were various live performances scheduled along the way as well. The experience was going to be creepy and thought provoking. It would have provided a haunting perspective of what artificial intelligence may be like in the future, and the dangers that we might face as a result.

Art Immortal was directed by Kat Single-Dain. She is also the artistic director of the Parade of Lost Souls (which is another awesome Vancouver event). The Art Immortal attraction was put together with the help of many local artists, designers, writers and other contributors. It would have been a unique and immersive exhibition with fun and scary twists to enjoy in the days leading up to Halloween.

In total, the experience was going to take at least an hour to get through. Some people might have needed as many as 90 minutes or more to check out everything. There were also alcoholic beverages available to purchase during the event.
