From afternoon games to evening fireworks, the annual series of events offers something for everyone. People can enjoy activities for all ages, live entertainment, food and patriotic spirit throughout the day.
When and Where is Canada Day in Delta
Canada Day takes place on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
This year’s celebrations happen at two different locations: Kirkland House and Chalmers Park. Kirkland House is a heritage site at 4140 Arthur Drive. Meanwhile, Chalmers Park’s address is 11400 76A Avenue.
Chalmers Park hosts the biggest part of the celebrations, while the other site is active earlier on in the day. There also used to be a parade that happened in the afternoon, but that’s no longer the case in 2026.

What to Expect
Canada Day in Delta is a festive, full-day event that brings neighbours, families and friends together.
Celebrations at Kirkland House runs from noon to 4:00 p.m. There families can enjoy a relaxed afternoon with music, children’s activities and general festivities for all ages.
The evening event takes place at Chalmers Park from 4:00 to 10:00 pm. Celebrations at this location are hosted by the City of Delta and North Delta Lions Club.
Chalmers Park is the place with the biggest festivities on the day, with entertainment in 2026 including the finals of the Great Big Delta Pickleball Smash, bubble soccer games, a water fight, a giant flag mural and rounds of themed bingo that run every 30 minutes.
Attendees of the final event can enjoy the festival with food vendors, children’s entertainment, roaming performers and live music. The night ends with a main stage concert at 9:00 pm followed by a fireworks display at 10:00 pm.
