Events This Weekend in Vancouver

Highlights of the weekend of 16th to 18th include Circo Osorio Circus shows, the Winter Extreme Ski & Board Swap, Boo! Haunted Halloween Market, Latin American Heritage Month events, the Motherland: Fort Salem Fan Convention and the UBC Apple Festival. There also Grave Tales and Lost Souls of Gastown walking tours, and both Halloween Mystery Nights and Suite 1313 with Vancouver Mysteries. Don’t forget to vote in your community’s municipal election too.

If you want to attend a concert, there is A Little Night Music with Mozart with Early Music Vancouver, Ian Parker Plays Gershwin with the VAM Symphony Orchestra, and a Young Artists Concert in Abbotsford.

For folks who like theatre, there is Tony ‘n Tina’s Wedding dinner theatre in Vancouver, Secret Ingredients at Gateway Theatre in Richmond, and the Yupi! Latin American Arts Family Festival at Presentation House Theatre in North Vancouver. There is also improvisational theatre at The Improv Centre on Granville Island and the films Awaken Canada and HowlOver Canada at Flyover. As already mentioned, there are Circo Osorio shows in Coquitlam too.

If you like scary things, there is Cougar Creek’s House of Horrors in Surrey, Reapers Maze of Terror in Chilliwack, and Alouette Cemetery in Maple Ridge. Brinkworth Dungeon in Langley is a must-see haunted attraction too.

Family-friendly season events include the Chilliwack Corn Maze at Greendale Acres, Magic of Fall Experience at Taves Family Farms, and Petey’s Pumpkin Patch at Fantasy Farms, all of which are in the Fraser Valley. There is also Monsters, Machines & Mischief at the Britannia Mine Museum and Canyon Frights at Capilano Suspension Bridge.
