Coast City Country

The Coast City Country Festival is a new live music event at BC Place Stadium and the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver.

The festival includes concerts, street parties and other events. In 2024 it took place from April 18th to 20th. The event might take place on April 19th and 20th in 2025. Exact details, however, are to be confirmed.

The Coast City Country Festival

New for 2024, the Coast City Country Festival featured three days of live music and other activities in Vancouver. There were more than 24 artists who performed at various venues this year. Headliners included Nickelback, Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley at BC Place. Other activities to enjoy throughout the festival include street parties, late-night shows and a beer and whiskey festival.

Not only is the festival full of entertainment, but it’s also a good way to support a worthwhile cause. A portion of ticket sales are donated to BC wildfire relief funds in the province.

CLOVERDALE RODEO

If you like Country music, you’ll also want to check out the Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair. In 2024 it took place on the Victoria Day Long Weekend of May 17th to 20th. Headliners who performed at the rodeo this year ncluded the Chris Buck Band and 54-40. Other artists were Apaloosa, the Dave Hartney Band, Annika & the Earthlings, Antonio Larosa, the Lawless Band and many others including The Spirit of Shania which is a Shania Twain tribute band).

When and Where

In 2024, the inaugural Coast City Country Festival ran from Thursday, April 18th, until Saturday, April 20th.

Headliners performed at BC Place Stadium on the Friday and Saturday starting at 3:00 pm. The big venue is located at 777 Pacific Boulevard in downtown Vancouver not far from False Creek. There were also performances at the Commodore Ballroom on all three days of the festival. The iconic nightclub is located at 868 Granville Street. All events at both venues were for adults ages 19+. There was a Kick-Off Party at the Commodore on the Thursday at 7:00 pm, and then more shows there on the Friday and Saturday starting at 10:00 pm.

More than 24 artists performed at the two main venues in 2024. Close to 20 artists performed at BC Place across two days. Meanwhile, the Commodore Ballroom featured close to 10 artists over three days.

Festival Ticket Prices

There were different types of passes available for the concerts at BC Place Stadium. Floor seats for each day started at $225 per person. Those seats offered the closest views to the stage. Reserved seating, meanwhile, started at $69 per person.

Packages for both days of BC Place shows were also available. Two-day floor seats started at $449 per person, whereas two-day regular seats started at $79. There were three different types of VIP passes on sale as well, varying from $799 up to $1,299. Perks for VIP pass holders included express entry on both days as well as posters, hats, and access to the pit, private lounge and VIP bar.

General admission tickets to the Commodore Ballroom shows varied depending on the day. In 2024 tickets started at $75 on the Thursday, and then $65 for the Friday and $65 for the Saturday.
