Show Us Your Pickle

Picklefest also features the Show Us Your Pickle competition for home picklers. Participants can enter their homemade pickles in one of five categories with winners selected by a panel of pickle-loving judges.

Each participant can submit up to two entries, with one clearly labelled jar required for each entry. Entries should primarily consist of pickled cucumbers, although other pickled vegetables or fruits may be accepted in the Most Creative categories if they meet the category requirements and food-safety standards.

The contest is limited to 50 entries, and the entry fee includes one festival ticket. Winners in each category, along with the overall Best in Show winner, are announced live at Picklefest. (Note: Pickle drop-off for the contest takes place in advance at Slim’s BBQ at 2301 Main Street in Vancouver between 11:00 am and 10:00 pm between September 4th and 10th.)
