New Farmers Artisan Market in Horseshoe Bay

The Horseshoe Bay Community Market is a weekly farmers market in the Village of Horseshoe Bay. It features a couple of dozen vendors selling locally-grown fruits and vegetables, handmade artisan goods and specialty foods.

The market launched in 2026. It is a community-focused event held on Saturdays in the summer and early fall. Lower Mainland farmers, food producers, artists and small businesses gather along the waterfront to offer their fresh products and other wears while creating a welcoming place for residents and visitors to shop and meet.

When and Where is the Market

The Horseshoe Bay Community Market takes place in Horseshoe Bay Village in West Vancouver. Its address is 6707 Nelson Avenue which is also the location of the Boardwalk at The Sanctuary. Vendors set up under the new condo development on the far side of the harbour from the BC Ferries terminal (which is just a 5-minute walk away).

In 2026 the market happens every Saturday from June 13th to October 10th. It runs from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The event takes place along the west side of Horseshoe Bay Park and along the boardwalk in front of The Sanctuary condominium development. The venue and its surrounding scenery are spectacular!

What to Expect

At the market visitors can browse a variety of local vendors. They’ll likely find farm-fresh produce, baked goods, flowers, craft beverages, and a wide range of unique and beautiful artisanal products. The market is designed to showcase local businesses while creating a vibrant community gathering place overlooking the waterfront.

With its beautiful seaside location, the market offers a relaxed atmosphere where visitors can shop, stroll along the boardwalk, and explore the shops and restaurants in Horseshoe Bay Village. The event welcomes both locals and travelers visiting the nearby BC Ferries terminal.

If you go to the market once, and then go again another week, you might find some of the same vendors, but also a number that are new. No two weeks are exactly the same.

Vendors and Products

The Horseshoe Bay Community Market features a diverse selection of local vendors throughout the season. Depending on the week, visitors can find fresh fruits and vegetables, farm-grown flowers, specialty baked goods, gourmet food products, hot and frozen prepared meals, fresh seafood, locally-produced wine and spirits, handmade jewelry, clothing, home décor, wellness products and other artisan goods.

Some of the artisan vendors at the market are from West Vancouver and elsewhere on the North Shore, while others are from further away. All, however, are local small businesses from somewhere in the Lower Mainland.

The Horseshoe Bay Community Market combines local shopping, fresh food and a waterfront setting. Combined, it all makes for one of the Lower Mainland’s newest and most enjoyable weekly summer markets.

Other Things to do in the Area

Horseshoe Bay is in West Vancouver on Vancouver’s North Shore. If you head north from the village, you’ll be heading up the Sea-to-Sky Highway towards Squamish and Whistler. If you head east from Horseshoe Bay, you’ll pass through the rest of West Vancouver before arriving in North Vancouver. Stanley Park in the City of Vancouver, meanwhile, is just 17 km away via the Lions Gate Bridge. The entire region is spectacularly beautiful with lots to see!

Either before or after visiting the market, we suggest you do a number of things. Go for a walk around the village. It’s a cute place! A short drive away is Whytecliff Park. It’s a beautiful spot (and a nice place for a picnic with the food and drinks you buy at the market). Lighthouse Park also isn’t far away.

Unless you are visiting the Horseshoe Bay Community Market only briefly before hurrying on your way up the Sea-to-Sky Highway, or to Vancouver Island via BC Ferries, consider spending some time in Horseshoe Bay and elsewhere on the North Shore. Ambleside Park, Dundarave Beach, North Vancouver’s Shipyards District and tourist attractions like Capilano Suspension Bridge are all not too far away.
