Golden Spike Days in Port Moody
Canada Day is usually celebrated in Port Moody with the Golden Spike Days festival at Rocky Point Park which is located on the water at 2800 Murray Street.
In 2026, however, Golden Spikes Days is just on Saturday, June 27th and Sunday, June 28th. The event runs from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm on the Saturday and from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm on the Sunday.
In place of Golden Spike Days being the main Canada Day festivities in Port Moody, the city is hosting a Connect on Canada Day event on the afternoon of July 1st (also in Rocky Point Park).
What to Expect
At Port Moody’s Canada Day weekend event you can expect to enjoy a variety of live music, food truck treats, and a cool one at the beer garden. There are also activities for kids.
Admission to Golden Spike Days is by donation with a minimum $5 suggested amount. Some of the activities may have a fee. Most things are free, though, except for food and drink.
Event Activities
There are plenty of things to do at Golden Spike Days. Expect to enjoy the Family Zone which features lumberjack shows, gold panning and bubble sports. Fitness sessions for all are also available.
Everyone can also enjoy the live entertainment scheduled for the event each day. Unfortunately, there will be no Tri-Cities Got Talent performances in 2026. That part of the festival is cancelled for this year, hopefully it returns in the future.
Beer Garden and Food Vendors
The beer garden at Golden Spike Days features beverages by breweries such as Twin Sails, Parkside Brewery and Yellow Dog, all of which are local to Port Moody. In the past, beverage tickets cost about $9 each. 2026 will likely be similar, if not a little bit more.
A number of food trucks and snack-food vendors are typically on-site throughout the weekend. Items for sale typically include fresh lemonade, pretzels, mini donuts, and a variety of ethnic and North American festival-style foods. Whether it’s your main meal you are looking for, or just a snack or treat, you’ll find it here at Golden Spike Days.

Entertainment Schedule
Live entertainment at Golden Spike Days includes free concerts by some bigger name musicians. It also includes performances by other great but lesser-known groups, plus dancers, lumberjacks and (when it happens) entertainers from the Tri Cities Got Talent competition.
