About the Musical

Old Stock: A Refugee Love Story is an internationally acclaimed 2b theatre company production. The play was written by Hannah Moscovitch and features songs by Ben Caplan and Christian Barry.

Performers included Ben Caplan, Eric Da Costa, Graham Scott, Jeff Kingsbury and Shaina Silver-Baird.

The story was inspired by the lives of two Jewish Romanian refugees who came to Canada in the early 1900s. It’s a dark story about love after experiencing the tragedies of war. Despite the dark nature of the plot, the play is full of humour and energetic music.

The show is more for teenagers and adults than it is for little kids. In fact, it is recommended for ages 14 and above due to mature language and subject matter.
