Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week is a series of events showcasing local beers and North Vancouver breweries and distilleries in November.
Presented by Vancouver’s North Shore Tourism Association, the events run from beginning to mid-November. In the first couple of weeks of the month there is an event at a different brewery, distillery or cidery each night. On the final day, there is the Wrap Up Party at the Pipe Shop where guests can enjoy live music and sample a wide range of North Shore beverages.

Craft Beer Week Events in North Vancouver
Despite its name, Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week runs for closer to two weeks than just one. Last year’s events ran from November 1st to 15th and likely will happen around the same time in 2025, although details are to be confirmed.
The series features beer specials, live music, events at breweries and people having fun at various venues throughout North Vancouver.

Beer Week Schedule of Events
Below was the schedule of events for the 2024 series. The schedule will likely look similar in 2025, although details are to be confirmed.
In previous years there was always a launch party on the first day of the festival. Last year, however, there was a Wrap Up Party on the final day instead. Whether the main event is at the beginning of the festival or at the end in 2025, is to be confirmed. Either way, if you like craft beer festivals and want to sample a wide range of brews, you’ll definitely want to attend that event!
Friday, November 1st, 2024
- Black Kettle Brewing – the first event of Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week in began at 6:00 pm and it was highlighted by the debut of a new beer made specifically for the festival.
Saturday, November 2nd, 2024
- Shaketown Brewing – last year’s event was “Big Easy Bash.” The food and atmosphere had a New Orleans’ Bourbon Street theme. The night ran from 6:00 pm until closing (which was around 11:00 pm). For food, there was a Creole-inspired menu (provided by the Gull Bar & Kitchen). The music from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm was with the band Nuvo Zydeco. After that there were tunes with DJ Mr. Stee. The special feature beer for the night was the Big Easy Nitro Stout.
Sunday, November 3rd, 2024
- The Woods Spirit Co. – a new venue to Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week series, this distillery at 1450 Rupert Street unveiled a new Crema Nocciola hazelnut cream liquor. The event ran from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and tickets cost $25. Admission included a cocktail and desserts.

Monday, November 4th, 2024
- Bridge Brewing – the venue hosted a “Learn to Play Blackjack” event. There was no money on the line, but prizes could be won and fun could be had playing cards! The “Learn to Play Blackjack” event happened at the Bridge Brewing Tasting Room at its 1448 Charlotte Road location from 5:00 pm until late.
Tuesday, November 5th, 2024
- House Of Funk – there was a board games night at this venue at 350 East Esplanade. Best enjoyed with a group of friends, playing some games and enjoying a few drinks!
Wednesday, November 6th, 2024
- Beva Brewing & Blending – this event was a little different as it was a kitchen pop-up at the brewery located at 1405 Pemberton Avenue. Beva hosts similar events every once in a while with special food and drink options. On this particular evening it was Wings & Things Wednesday where the menu included hot wings, roast beef sandwiches and loaded baked potatoes. The brewery also celebrated the release of its new plum sour ale. The event ran from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
Thursday, November 7th, 2024
- Wildeye Brewing – this event was styled around a 90s-themed party that ran from 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm. Patrons celebrated with a wide variety of beers and music from that decade. Wildeye Brewing is located at 1385 Main Street (so not far from the start of the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge). The place has an outdoor patio and large indoor space with lots of seating. The event featured music, movies, video games and snacks from the 1990s.

Friday, November 8th, 2024
- Windfall Cider & Co. – for the second year in a row, the cidery celebrated Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week with a Trivia Night. The fun began at 7:00 pm when guests tested their knowledge and had the chance to win fun prizes. The trivia theme for the night was “War Time Movies.”
Saturday, November 9th, 2024
- Beere Brewing – it was a “holiday vibes” event with food and drink specials at Beere Brewing at 312 Esplanade East.
Sunday, November 10th, 2024
- Braggot Brewing – this venue hosted a night of Viking-themed games and live music. There were various prizes to be won throughout the event. The competitions included keg lifting, keg carrying, axe throwing, and stein holding.
Braggot Brewing is a fairly unique brewery. Braggot is a type of drink that’s a mix between half beer and half mead (which is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented honey). The brewery makes its own honey and brews its drinks on-site at 370 East Esplanade Avenue.
Monday, November 11th, 2024
- Copperpenny Distilling Co. – November 11th is Remembrance Day, so in honour of that all veterans received discounts on their food and drinks at Copperpenny. Running from 12:30 pm until 8:00 pm, the Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week event featured gin cocktails and other unique BC spirits. There were also tours of the distillery in the afternoon.
Tuesday, November 12th, 2024
- La Cerveceria Astilleros – the Mexican-inspired brewery in the 200 block of East Esplanade had DJ music and released a new beer in the evening.
Wednesday, November 13th, 2024
- North Point Brewing – this brewery launched a new beer during its festival event night. There was also DJ music, a variety of games, and the venue partnered with Las Margaritas to have their food menu on offer.
This brewery is on East 1st Street just a couple of blocks from Lonsdale Avenue. It has outdoor seating on the road and sidewalk and a nice cozy interior. We’ve enjoyed the beers here as well as the pizzas.

Thursday, November 14th, 2024
- Strathcona North – another new venue at last year’s festival, the party at the brewery at the Quay Market & Food Hall included extended happy hour deals and music with DJ Vinyl Ritchie.
Friday, November 15th, 2024
- Wrap Up Party – the finale of the craft beer week ran from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at The Pipe Shop. The event showcased beer from around 12 local breweries and distilleries. It also featured live music, food trucks and prize giveaways. Tickets cost $43.93 (including online fees). Admission included two drink tokens and a souvenir tasting mug. If you like craft beer and want to sample a wide selection of beverages produced on the North Shore, you’ll definitely want to attend this event when it happens in November, 2025.

Beer Week Event Venues
Events during Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week took place last year at the venues listed below.
Breweries in the Lower Lonsdale District
The following breweries, distillery and cidery are located fairly close together in the first three or so blocks of East Esplanade or East 1st Street and are regulars at this event. They are all within a 10-minute walk of Lonsdale Quay.
- Beere Brewing – a brewery and tasting room at 312 East Esplanade.
- Braggot Brewery – a brewery with a tasting room and patio at #102 – 370 Esplanade East. It specializes in honey-based beers (and the brewery uses its own honey). Our favourite is the Brown Ale. It is really good!
- House of Funk Brewing – this place makes both beer and coffee. It’s located at 350 East Esplanade.
- La Cerveceria Astilleros – another Shipyards establishment at 226 East Esplanade, this place is a Mexican-style brewery with food, wine and other drinks on offer.
- North Point Brewing – this cozy building is designed to feel like a cabin with its wood structure and laidback atmosphere. It’s located at 266 East 1st Street. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating. It also has a fireplace inside.
- Shaketown Brewing – located at #105 – 288 East Esplanade, this brewery has a large seating area.
- Windfall Cider – located at 250 East Esplanade, this place makes a variety of apple ciders including some that are a blend with berries.
- Copperpenny Distillery – an award-winning craft distillery at 288 East Esplanade. They specialize in gins, but also produce a variety of liqueurs, syrups and other spirits.
- Strathcona North – this place is new to the North Shore as of 2024. Strathcona Beer has had a brewery at 895 East Hastings Street in Vancouver for years. It now has a second location in North Vancouver inside the Lonsdale Quay Public Market.
Breweries Elsewhere in North Vancouver
The following breweries are in various locations that are between a five- and 10-minute drive from Lonsdale Quay and the Shipyards District.
- Black Kettle Brewing – a popular place located at 720 Copping Street which isn’t far from the Northshore Auto Mall. The brewery has a tented patio, good-sized indoor area and a live DJ on Thursdays. We tried a number of the in-house beers, which were great. We also enjoyed a delicious pizza.
- Bridge Brewing Company – a brewery and tasting room at 1448 Charlotte Road (which is just off Mountain Highway halfway between the Trans-Canada Highway and Main Street). The brewery also has a smaller location at 1211 Lonsdale Avenue.
- Wildeye Brewing – located near the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge at 1385 Main Street, this is a fairly big brewery with a large variety of seasonal options. The brewery has great beers as well as live music on Thursdays. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio.
- The Woods Spirit Co. – this distillery’s address is 1450 Rupert Street. It’s near Mountain Highway just a few blocks north of Main Street (not far from Wildeye Brewing and the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge). Its spirits include vodka, gin, limoncello, arancello, amaro and nocino. It also sells spritz and gin and tonic kits.
- Beva Brewing & Blending – this brewery is located at 1405 Pemberton Avenue (which is in the Norgate neighbourhood). It’s about a four-minute drive from Capilano Mall.
