The Brookswood Community Car Show is a school fundraising event in Metro Vancouver showcasing vintage and other classic cars. It happens in Langley in May.

In addition to lots of really cool vehicles, the event also features food and a few kid-friendly activities. The car show takes place on May 25th in 2025. That’s the weekend after Victoria Day.

The Brookswood Car Show is a smaller event in Langley, but also a really good one. It began in 2017 as a fundraising event for Brookswood Secondary School and it continues to operate as such today. All proceeds from the show go to the school and help fund student programs.

At the event there are plenty of beautiful vehicles on display as well as food trucks and activities like a bouncy castle and obstacle course for kids.

Location and Admission

The Brookswood Community Car Show is held on the grounds of Brookswood Secondary School at 20902 37A Avenue in Langley. It’s just south of downtown Langley City and about 12 kilometres southeast of Cloverdale in Surrey. The event takes place regardless of the weather, so if it rains make sure to take an umbrella!

Admission to the event is by donation. As mentioned, all proceeds from the car show go directly to the school and its student programs. For those who want to register their car to be displayed at the event it usually costs $20 to do so in advance or $25 on the day of the show. 2025 registration details are to be confirmed.

TIP: If you want to combine your trip to the car show with a visit to a museum, good ones to check out are the Museum of Surrey in Cloverdale and Fort Langley (which is about 17 kilometres away in the Township of Langley). The first of these has free admission for everyone. The second one is free for children ages 17 and under.

What to Expect

The Brookswood Car Show isn’t one of the biggest car shows the Lower Mainland has to offer. Nevertheless, it’s still a good one. There is a fair number of old, classic and interesting cars to see. Every year the event runs from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm with people setting up their cars beginning at around 8:00 am.

Along with the vehicles there are other parts of the event to enjoy. There is usually some live music as well as a couple of food trucks. When we went a couple of years ago there was the choice between burgers, hot dogs and crepes from the vendors on hand.

There are also activities designed specifically for children. When we went in 2022 there was a bouncy castle as well as a small obstacle course. Public washrooms are available outside of the school so no one has to go inside the building (since it’s a weekend).
