Northlands Golf Course in North Vancouver

Northlands Golf Course

Northlands is a par 71 golf course that proclaims to be the best in North Vancouver. The mountainside location is well-maintained and fun for all skill levels.

North Vancouver’s Northlands Golf Course

Northlands opened to the public in 1997 and it’s owned by the District of North Vancouver, so it’s a municipal course. The 18-hole par 71 course plays 6523 yards from its challenging black tees and 5147 yards from its red tees.

The nearby mountains make for a scenic and peaceful golfing environment. Northlands is a well-maintained course packed with trees, a few water hazards, and an abundance of wildlife. Its natural components are beautiful and fun to admire, and there are often wild animals spotted on or around the course, including eagles, deer and even the occasional black bear.

Northlands was designed in a way that welcomes players of all skill levels.  Although there are lots of trees and hills that make for some difficult approaches, the greens are large in size and not overly complicated. Each hole features four sets of tee boxes that cater to different types of golfers, which allows the course to be enjoyed by everyone.

Another interesting fact about Northlands is that holes 17 and 18 are both par 5s. This provides golfers with a good chance to finish strong. Just be aware that there are water hazards to avoid on both holes!

Where is Northlands?

Northlands Golf Course is located at 3400 Ann Macdonald Way in North Vancouver. There are a couple different ways to drive to the area from Vancouver. It’s near the road up to Mt. Seymour Provincial Park and the Mount Seymour ski resort. The course is also close to the Seymour Golf & Country Club, and just a 4 km drive from Deep Cove.

From Burnaby and East Vancouver, the fastest way to the course is to take the Trans-Canada Highway over the Iron Workers Bridge and then take exit 22B for Mount Seymour Parkway. After this offramp merges onto Fern Street, turn right onto Mt Seymour Parkway West and then eventually turn left onto Ann Macdonald Way, which leads straight to Northlands.
