The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival is a series of stand-up comedy shows in different cities. The festival visits Vancouver’s Stanley Park in September of 2025.

2025 Great Outdoors Comedy Festival in Vancouver’s Stanley Park

The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival is a series of comedy shows across North America. The festival debuted in Edmonton in 2021. In 2022 there were shows in Edmonton and Calgary. Vancouver was one of four host cities in 2023 and one of seven host cities in 2024. In 2025 the festival’s last stop of six is in Vancouver.

The annual festival is a comedy showcase with entertaining comedians hitting the stage one after another. Big names from the industry perform each year along with smaller local talents. As the name of the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival suggests, all events take place at outdoor venues. The shows happen rain or shine. Alcoholic beverages are available on site so the festival is only for ages 19 and above.

When & Where is the Comedy Festival

The Vancouver edition of the 2025 Great Outdoors Comedy Festival takes place on the weekend of September 12th to 14th. The main events run on the Friday and Saturday nights. There are also afternoon and evening shows on the Sunday.

The festival is held at Stanley Park. The park itself is one of the Top Attractions in Vancouver. The event is set up at Brockton Pavilion which is between the Totem Poles and the Brockton Oval in the eastern part of the park. It’s a beautiful location along Stanley Park Drive with waterfront views.

2025 Comedians

The first day of the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival in Vancouver in 2025 features Brett Kreischer, Whitney Cummings and Derrick Stroup. On the second day there are performances by John Mulaney, Mike Birbiglia, Nick Kroll and Fred Armisen. As of early March, details about Sunday’s lineup are to be confirmed.

Comedy Festival Admission Details

There are multiple types of tickets available for the 2025 Great Outdoors Comedy Festival. Prices also depend on which day of the festival you attend.

Below are the starting ticket prices for this year’s festival as of early March. The first price beside each type of ticket is for the first night and the second price is for the second night.

General Admission: $69 or $79
Skip+ General Admission: $99 or $109
VIP Table: $129, or “SOLD OUT”
VIP Club: $259 or $249

Three-day festival passes are also available for as low as $159 per person. All prices are subject to change.

General admission seating is first-come, first-served. Skip+ seats are also first-come, first-served, but they include early entry and line skipping privileges for the bar. VIP Table seats come with the same perks, as well as a reserved table with food service, free Wi-Fi, and more. The VIP Club seats also include covered space and private amenities.
