Typical August Weather
Summers in Vancouver are typically very dry, with August being one of the warmest and driest months of the year.
The city can sometimes practically go without any rain from the beginning of July until late August, with the first real summer rains coming just in time for the PNE fair in the last week or so of the month.
The days in August are warm (for Vancouver), but the evenings are starting to get cool again towards the end of the month.
Average high temperatures in August are a nice 22 degrees Celsius (or 72 F), and the lows are typically around 13 (or 55 F), or cooler as September approaches. Vancouver gets an average of less than 40 mm of rain in the month (or a bit more than 1.5 inches).
