Grouse Mountain celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026. To mark the occasion, it’s hosting a number of events including the Grouse Centennial Festival.
Regular admission to the resort in the summer costs $89 for adults (plus taxes and service fees) when buying your tickets online. Some activities are included in that price. Things like the ropes courses, ziplines, coaster and bike park, however, all cost extra.
Grouse Centennial Festival in Vancouver
In 2026 the Grouse Centennial Festival takes place between July 23rd and August 3rd. Other events that happen in the Lower Mainland around that time include the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival, Chilliwack Ribfest, Mission Folk Music Festival, Strathcona Street Party, Caribbean Days Festival, Chiquitzin Kids Fiesta and TCC Community Days, all on the weekend of July 24th to 26th (and several of these other events have free admission).
Other events taking place on the BC Day Long Weekend of August 1st to 3rd include Brigade Days at Fort Langley, the Abbotsford Agrifair and Celebrate BC Festival in both Port Moody and Coquitlam. There is also the Chilliwack Corn Festival, EMV Summer Festival, and so much more.
During the Grouse Centennial Festival there is live music and a variety of family-friendly events. Grouse Mountain’s regular Summer Activities take place too, including the Lumberjack and Birds of Prey Shows, Ziplining, ropes course adventures, and trips up one of the chairlifts. The new Grouse Mountain Coaster is also in operation.

Events happening during the Grouse Centennial Festival are listed below.
Drone Shows
July 31st, August 1st and 2nd
Three drone shows take place during the festival. They are all best seen from the Birds in Motion area of Grouse Mountain. Accompanied by cinematic music, Indigenous drumming and narrating, the drone shows celebrate the history of Grouse and the people who have helped shape the attraction into what it is today.
Friday Night Après Bike
July 24th and July 31st
On Friday nights in the summer, The Rusty Rail BBQ hosts Après Bike events from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Presented by Granville Island Brewing, guests can enjoy barbeque and free beer samples. There’s live music with Max Serna on July 24th and Dean Michael Smith on July 31st. Plus, folks who buy a Granville Island Lager are entered into a draw to win a new mountain bike.
Bear-thday Fun-draiser
July 25th
The two grizzly bears on Grouse Mountain turn 25 years old on July 25th, 2026. The special day is celebrated with educational ranger talks, a Bear-thday Cake Smash with Grinder and Coola, a silent auction, and more.
Yoga on the Mountain
August 1st
There are free outdoor yoga classes on Saturdays in the Mountaintop Plaza on Grouse Mountain. The sessions run from 9:00 am until 10:00 am and yoga mats are provided. The classes are free but advanced registration is required.
Mingler Wednesdays
July 29th
Altitudes Bistro hosts Mingler Wednesdays events between 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm. It’s a good place to meet other hikers and socialize with fellow beer lovers. There’s DJ music each Wednesday. Plus, guests who buy a Granville Island Brewing beer have a chance to win a new paddle board.
Movies on the Mountain
July 30th
Movies on the Mountain is Grouse Mountain’s series of free outdoor movies. The screenings are held in the Birds in Motion area on Thursdays in the summer. Each film begins at sunset and there are food trucks on site. The featured film on July 30th is Jurassic Park (1993). Everyone is encouraged to bring blankets and bug spray.
Coors Light Presents: Music Loud, Mountains Blue
July 31st, August 1st
Free outdoor concerts happen on two nights in the Mountaintop Plaza. The music kicks off at 8:00 pm and runs for two hours. Performing on July 31st is Nearly Neil, which is a Neil Diamond tribute band. Then on August 1st, Nautical Disaster hits the stage and performs Tragically Hip songs. The events also feature a Coors Light beer garden and food.
