Mission Folk Fest in the Fraser Valley
The Mission Folk Music Festival usually happens on the last weekend of July. It’s a fair-sized festival at a beautiful venue that attracts dozens of performers and thousands of local folk-music enthusiasts.
What to Expect at the Festival in Mission
At the Mission Folk Music Festival you can expect a number of stages with performances taking place throughout each of the event’s days. Some people camp overnight at the festival right on-site. Others attend for just a single day.
At the venue there’s a camping area, an artisan market with over 20 vendors, and a kids and family area for the little ones. There are also around six food trucks and a licensed bistro serving beer and other cool beverages.
The Mission Folk Music Festival isn’t a huge event, but it’s pretty big, and a nice one. It’s also family-friendly and attracts a wide range of music lovers. As many as 1,500 people show up on the busiest days.
Most of the musicians are local, and the quality of play is very high. Overall, it’s a fabulous event and highly recommended.

Food and Artisan Vendors
The festival typically attracts around 20 artisanal vendors, all of them locals who sell everything from jewelery, to soaps, to hot sauce and much more.
There are also a few food vendors. In previous years these included authentic Mexican cuisine and Greek food. For those who are 19+ there is a beer garden on-site, serving local beers, wines and ciders along with some non-alcoholic drinks.
Other Information
Parking is available on-site by donation, both in the regular paved parking lot and on the grass in a field. Except for at times when admission is by donation or when a major band is playing, parking spots are typically available.
