Surrey Sounds of Summer Concert Series

The Sounds of Summer Live Music Series are free outdoor concerts at different parks in Surrey on Wednesday evenings in July and August.

In 2026 there are a couple of Friday matinee performances as well. The whole series of events happens between the beginning of July and end of August at various venues.

Other free events in Surrey this summer include Canada Day Celebrations and the Surrey Fusion Festival.

2026 Sounds of Summer Live Music in Surrey

Residents of Surrey and the entire Lower Mainland can take their lawn chairs and blankets to sit on, plus their picnics to eat, and come out and enjoy the free music entertainment.

The Sounds of Summer concerts run in July and August. The Wednesday concerts begin at 6:30 pm, while the Friday performances start at 1:00 pm. Admission is free and advanced registration isn’t necessary. All events are open to the public.

Below is the summer schedule of dates and locations this year, along with suggestions on what else to do while in the area.

 

July 8th (2026) Concert at Glades Garden

The July 8th concert happens at Glades Woodland Garden and starts at 6:30 pm. Big Band Jazz – Emilio Suarez performs at the event.

Glades Garden is at 457 172nd Street in South Surrey. The park is close to the Peace Arch Border and not far from White Rock. It’s a wonderful garden that’s only open on select days.

July 15th (2026) Concert at Bear Creek Garden

On Wednesday, July 15th, the free concert takes place at Bear Creek Park. Music is performed by Music City Showcase.

The park is a popular place located at 13750 88th Avenue in Surrey. It includes a miniature train, an outdoor swimming pool, a mini-golf course and other things to see and do.

 

July 22nd (2026) Concert at Sullivan Heights Park

The free concert on Wednesday, July 22nd features Mickey Jose & Groffie.

Located at 14426 64th Avenue, Sullivan Heights Park offers sports fields for soccer, cricket and rugby. There’s also a kabaddi field, along with walking paths leading towards a small pond.

 

July 24th (2026) Concert at Brownsville Bar Park

The first Friday matinee performance of the year is by Bobby Bruce’s Nearly Neil and the Solitary Band. The concert begins at 1:00 pm.

Brownsville Bar Park is at 11931 Old Yale Road. It’s a waterfront location in North Surrey with a sandy beach, plus views of New Westminster and the stal̕əwÌ“asÉ™m Bridge.

 

July 29th (2026) Concert at Surrey Civic Plaza

On July 29th, the free concert takes place at Surrey Civic Plaza. It starts at 6:30 pm and features Live Band Line Dancing.

Surrey Civic Plaza is located at 13450 104th Avenue. It’s easy to get to via public transit, as it’s just beside the Surrey Central SkyTrain Station. The venue is also across the street from Holland Park and near Central City Shopping Centre which has over 140 stores.

August 5th (2026) Concert at Darts Hill Garden

On August 5th, the free concert is held at Darts Hill Garden Park. The live music is performed by Ben Dunnill.

Darts Hill is located at 1633-170th Street in South Surrey. White Rock is only about a 10-minute drive away. It’s a beautiful semi-private garden that’s open to the public at specific times of the year.

 

August 12th (2026) Concert at Francis Park

Francis Park is located at 15951 83rd Avenue. It’s beside Surrey’s Fleetwood Public Library. The park features fitness equipment, a playground and a walking loop.

On August 12th, the free concert features Robyn Froese and a Tribute to Fleetwood Mac.

August 14th (2026) Concert at Brownsville Bar Park

The second and final Friday matinee performance of the summer is by Perfectly Petty.

Located at 11931 Old Yale Road, Brownsville Bar Park boasts views of the Fraser River. It’s also not too far from Scott Road SkyTrain Station.

 

August 19th (2026) Concert at T.E. Scott Park

T.E. Scott Park is located at 7014 148th Street. It’s in central Newton. The park features picnic areas, a washroom, open lawn space and beautiful views of Mount Baker.

On Wednesday, August 19th, the free show features Royal Academy of Punjab – Dance Troupe & Workshop.

 

August 26th (2026) Concert at Surrey Civic Plaza

On August 26th, the last concert of the season is with Live Band Salsa Dancing.

Located at 13450 104th Avenue, Surrey Civic Plaza is beside the Surrey Central SkyTrain Station. It’s close to Holland Park and the Central City Shopping Centre too.
