West End Farmers Market on Comox Street
The West End Farmers Market takes place along the 1100 block of Comox Street between Thurlow Street and Bute from the end of May until around the fourth week of October. It’s a medium-sized market that runs from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. Parking in the area can be difficult due to limited spaces and can be expensive. If you’re visiting the market and don’t live in the West End, consider taking transit or bike there. Have a backpack if biking to store your purchased items.
In 2024, the market runs from May 18th until October 26th. If you’re a local in the area, this is a great place to shop for local produce and crafts, and something to snack on as you browse the vendors.
In a typical week the West End Farmers market has over 30 vendors. There are farmers selling fresh produce as well as local artisans and food trucks. The line of market stalls stretches all the way down the block.
What’s in the Area
The West End Farmers Market runs along Nelson Park which is located at 1030 Bute Street. The market is only about four blocks from Davie Street, and a block-and-a-half from Burrard Street.
Robson Square and the Vancouver Art Gallery are a 15-minute walk away. If you walk 15 minutes south down Thurlow Street you come to Sunset Beach and the entrance to False Creek. If you walk about seven blocks in the other direction you come to trendy Robson Street, which is Vancouver’s trendiest street for shopping.
