The Strathcona Blocks Party returned for its fourth year in 2025 to celebrate one of Vancouver’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. This popular family-friendly event brings together locals and visitors for a day of fun.

The party also features a beer garden with mini golf, a creative zone, craft stations and a reading nook, plus a pop-up market showcasing local vendors and shops. The event is free to attend and pets are welcome.

Where and When

The Strathcona Blocks Party took place on June 14th this past year along the 800 block of East Hastings Street. The date for the event in 2026 is to be confirmed. Most of the activities run from noon until 5:00 pm. This includes the food trucks and activities like face painting, balloon art, sidewalk chalk and games. Visitors can also enjoy drinks and mini golf at the Strathcona Beer Garden at 895 East Hastings from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

This year the Learning & Exploring Zone on Campbell Avenue offered interactive experiences with musical instruments, arts and crafts activities, a reading nook and pop-up market. There was also a Blocks Party Passport available at 800 East Hastings where visitors could collect stickers from local businesses. Collect six or more and you could enter to win a prize at the Info Booth.

This past year the Strathcona Blocks Party featured live music throughout the afternoon, with performances. The 2025 lineup brought a mix of local talent and vibrant sounds to the neighbourhood.
