Strathcona Blocks Party in 2025
The Strathcona Blocks Party returns for its 4th year to celebrate one of Vancouver’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. This popular family-friendly event brings together locals and visitors for a day of fun.
The party also features a beer garden with mini golf, a creative zone, craft stations and a reading nook, plus a pop-up market showcasing local vendors and shops. The event is free to attend and pets are welcome!
Where and When
The Strathcona Blocks Party takes place on June 14th, 2025, along the 800 block of East Hastings Street. Most of the activities run from noon until 5:00 pm. This includes the food trucks and activities like face painting, balloon art, sidewalk chalk and games. Visitors can also enjoy drinks and mini golf at the Strathcona Beer Garden at 895 East Hastings from 12:00 to 8:00 pm.
This year the Learning & Exploring Zone on Campbell Avenue offers interactive experiences with musical instruments, arts and crafts activities, a reading nook and pop-up market. There is also a Blocks Party Passport available at 800 East Hastings where visitors can collect stickers from local businesses. Collect six or more and you can enter to win a prize at the Info Booth.
Performers and Schedule
In 2025 the Strathcona Blocks Party features live music throughout the afternoon, with performances. This year the lineup brings a mix of local talent and vibrant sounds to the neighbourhood.

- 1:30 pm – The Slow Sippers Band
- 2:30 pm – Lion Dance & Kung Fu Performance
- 3:15 pm – Star Captains Band
- 4:30 pm – Terminal City Brass Band
