Bands on the Beach is a music festival that happens in Harrison Hot Springs over the Labour Day long weekend in September each year.

TIP: If heading to Harrison Hot Springs for Bands on the Beach, stop at the Sasquatch Museum. It’s right in the town and has free admission. About a 20-minute drive away, there is also Kilby Historic Site which is very interesting and well worth a visit.
See the Tourism Harrison website for full details about the day of music.
Bands on the Beach
Free concerts take place in the afternoon along the waterfront during Bands on the Beach. A usual headliner performer each year is the local country rock star Todd Richard who is exceptional. For the first time in many years, he did not play at the event in 2025. However, there were five other featured artists and groups who played live music this year.
When and Where?
In 2025 Bands on the Beach took place on August 30th, which was the Saturday of the Labour Day long weekend. The live music is held at the waterfront, close to the beach. Bands on the Beach will likely be back over the Labour Day long weeked in 2026 which falls between September 5th and 7th.
The Resort Town
Harrison Hot Springs is located in the Fraser Valley about a two-hour drive east of downtown Vancouver. It’s a resort town right on beautiful Harrison Lake and worth checking out any time of year, but especially when there is an event like Bands on the Beach going on.
Concert Venues
The free concerts during the Bands on the Beach event happen in the park by the beach near Esplanade Avenue. There is an outdoor stage there and people bring their lawn chairs to sit on as they listen to the music and admire the views.
See the Tourism Harrison website for full details about Bands on the Beach.
Bands on the Beach Schedule
Harrison’s Bands on the Beach is a fairly simple, yet really nice festival with a series of free concerts outdoors. It’s a most enjoyable event in a spectacular setting.
Listed below was the 2025 schedule of live music.
- 1:00 pm – Ahshï
- 2:15 pm – Andrew Michael Blues Band
- 3:30 pm – Trevor Murray Band
- 4:45 pm – Kyler Pierce

Note: Most years in the past Todd Richard has been one of the artists performing at the festival. Unfortunately, he did not perform this past year. Hopefully he’ll be back again one day in the future.
