Tips & Advice
Check out the following suggestions to enjoy a memorable experience at Glow Langley.
TIP #1: If you’ve been to Christmas Glow before, don’t skip it this year, thinking that it’ll be the same. It has a new theme for 2025!
TIP #2: About half of the attraction is indoors, and the other half is outside. There are plenty of warm, heated and covered areas, but dress warmly and wear layers for the outside part – guests often spend around two hours exploring.
TIP #3: Visit early in the season (there are early bird discounts at the time of writing in October) or on weeknights for a quieter, more relaxed experience with fewer crowds.
TIP #4: Arrive near your booked entry time to avoid waiting. On Fridays and Saturdays, 30-minute time slots help manage traffic for a smooth flow of visitors.
About Christmas Glow
Glow is the creation of the owners of Milner Village, which is a garden centre and greenhouse facility in Langley. They have a large garden centre store and farming operation. The main crop is poinsettias, but the garden centre also grows tomatoes and a few other products. The place is famous for its poinsettias (which is why so many people buy them at the Christmas Glow event)!
Milner Village Garden Centre has massive greenhouses. Mid-winter is a slow season for the garden industry, and so between late November and the beginning of January, not all garden centers use the indoor space. In 2017, the family-owned business decided to transform one of its giant greenhouses into Glow Langley.
Christmas Glow had to move to a new Lower Mainland venue in 2019 due to zoning issues at the venue’s location in Langley. That’s why the festival took place in both Vancouver and Abbotsford that year. Thankfully, it’s now back in Langley!
Christmas isn’t just a Lower Mainland event, however. Due to its tremendous initial success, in recent years it has had locations in Edmonton, Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, Saskatoon, Pittsburgh, Seattle, and even the city of Odense in Denmark!
Glow Gardens is a fabulous “made in the Lower Mainland” success story!
