Vancouver’s Project EveryBODY Event
International Day of Persons with Disabilities is on December 3rd each year. To celebrate, Project EveryBODY is an event close to that date that connects, promotes and showcases talented persons with disabilities. The annual event is organized by Project EveryBODY, a collaboration of organizations led by the Open Door Group.
The event varies from year to year, catering to different areas of creativity and art. However, the events aren’t just about showcasing talents. They honor achievements and advocate for inclusive communities.

Admission to the event
Tickets are free and available for a limited quantity of 200 people based on first-come, first-served. You must register on Eventbrite in advance to claim the free ticket.
Event Activities
The Inclusive Market Fair is a joyful daytime celebration of community, creativity, and accessibility. More than 40 vendors from across British Columbia present original artwork, crafts, and handmade gifts created by artists and entrepreneurs with disabilities.
Beyond shopping, visitors can meet the makers, learn about their journeys, and connect with local organizations advancing disability inclusion. The atmosphere is usually welcoming and upbeat with a strong sense of community. There are also free snacks and drinks (while supplies last).
Previous editions of Project EveryBODY have also included evening performances of live music, comedy, dance, and short films. While no performance night is confirmed for 2025, future versions of the event may return to that format.
Inclusion Art Show
In addition to December’s Market Fair, the Open Door Group also supports the Inclusion Art Show & Sale, which brings together artists with disabilities and mental-health challenges. The event is held at the Roundhouse in October and features hundreds of works. The next show is already confirmed for October 2026, offering another opportunity to experience the works of local artists.

Project EveryBODY Video
The video below features scenes from the 2024 Project EveryBODY event. In the video, you’ll see the Hip-Hop group Soul Bilities at the beginning, followed by the band Doom Loops. After that, there is comedian Ryan Lachance and then musician Luc Picard and his band. As you’ll see, it was a great event. Additionally, as you’ll see, there is some remarkable talent within Vancouver’s local disability community. And this was just a sample!
