Remembrance Day in Fort Langley

Fort Langley Remembrance Day ceremonies on November 11th involve a procession followed by a service at the cenotaph at the Fort Langley Cemetery.

In 2025 the annual service takes place from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, November 11th, at the Fort Langley Cenotaph located at 9045 Glover Road.

FORT LANGLEY NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE

After the ceremony, many visitors spend the afternoon exploring the Fort Langley Historic Site. The former Hudson’s Bay Company trading post features historic buildings, exhibitions, and interactive displays that bring early Canadian history to life.

The site is open year-round and is a great place to visit on Remembrance Day afternoon. For more details about the fort, visit the Parks Canada website.

Fort Langley Remembrance Day Ceremonies in 2025

The Remembrance Day service in Fort Langley is a live, in-person event organized by the Fort Langley Remembrance Day Committee and the Fort Langley Lions Club. The ceremony begins at 10:30 am and finishes around noon.

The community gathers at the cenotaph to pay tribute to those who served and sacrificed for Canada. The service includes the march of veterans and first responders, the Act of Remembrance, the playing of the Last Post, a two-minute silence, and closing remarks from local dignitaries.

Members of the public are invited to attend in person or watch the event online via the Fort Langley Remembers Facebook page. Visitors are also welcome to lay a wreath at the Cenotaph after the service concludes.

The ceremony is one of the most attended in the Township of Langley, often drawing a large crowd when the weather is good.
