Sasquatch Resort is a ski hill not far from Harrison Hot Springs in the Fraser Valley. On December 31st it hosts a Torchlight Parade and New Year’s Eve Bash.
In this article you’ll find information about the ski hill’s New Year’s Eve events. You’ll also learn a little bit about the ski resort itself.
TIP: Harrison Hot Springs is only about 43 km from the ski hill, so less than a 50-minute drive in good conditions. The resort town consequently makes for a good base if you want to stay in the region overnight. Also, during the Christmas season, there is Lights by the Lake which is a free holiday lights attraction along the waterfront at Harrison Lake. Be sure to check it out too if you’re in the area. This year, Lights by the Lake runs from November 22nd, 2025, until January 11th, 2026.

New Year’s Eve Events at Sasquatch Ski Resort
In 2025 there are two New Year’s Eve events at Sasquatch Mountain. There is a Torchlight Parade which is a ticketed event that includes a Snowcat Tour and fireworks at the top of the mountain. There is also a New Year’s Eve Bash which features outdoor kid-friendly activities, night skiing and fireworks, plus DJ music and a champagne toast for folks ages 19+ at Molly Hogan’s Bar & Grill. Note that with the Torchlight Parade and New Year’s Eve Bash, ski tickets cost extra. See below for details about approximate ski pass prices.
NYE Torchlight Parade at Sasquatch Mountain
In 2025, this event happens on December 31st from 6:00 until 10:00 pm. It costs $125 to participate and the event begins with a ride in the Snow Cat (the grooming vehicle) to the mountain’s summit. Once everyone has arrived, there is a firework display around 9:00 or 9:30 pm. Finally, there is the parade itself where skiers and snowboarders are given a torch. Together they then ski down the hill to illuminate the snow on camera.
While attending the parade, participants have the chance to enjoy hot chocolate, snacks, and distant views of the valley far below.
Check out NYE Torch Parade for full details about this particular event.
New Year’s Eve Bash at Sasquatch Ski Resort
The party at Sasquatch Ski Resort for New Years Eve in 2025 begins at 4:00 pm and continues until 1:00 am on January 1st. Entry to the event is free and it features a live performance by DJ Booky at Molly’s (the restaurant) to bring up the energy. The night features a couple more festive options that aren’t normally available. Among these are the extra food, fireworks, drinks, and champagne toast as the clock strikes midnight.
It is important to note that while the event itself is free to attend, the ski hill is still charging admission (as one would expect). Consequently, you will need to pay if you want to ski or snowboard and take advantage of the full ski hill.

About Sasquatch Ski Hill
Sasquatch Ski Resort, like some but not all other ski hills in the Lower Mainland, is Canadian owned and operated. The park offers skiing trails, tubing tracks, and quality dining options. It also offers snow school options for new snow-goers. Overall, the mountain has 37 marked ski runs to enjoy.
This ski hill is a far less crowded alternative to the other ski hills in North Vancouver and West Vancouver, and so much less crowded than Whistler. The mountain itself is also better for beginners than some of the other Vancouver-based ski hills, simply due to a larger variety of easier runs. Overall, it is a more affordable and consistent option for skiers and snowboarders who want to dodge the crowds of the more central mountains.
In 2025 Sasquatch Mountain opened for the ski season on December 23rd. On December 29th, the ski hill had 147 cm of snow at the alpine base. Full-day adult ski tickets cost between around $70 and $110 depending on when you got them. Tickets for children and youth range between around $50 and $100. Half-day tickets cost between about $50 and $90 depending on your age.
