Port Moody Winter and Summer Markets

The Port Moody Winter Farmers Market is a medium-sized market. It takes place both indoors and outdoors at the Port Moody Recreation Complex at 300 Ioco Road. In an average week there are between about 35 and 40 vendors (or at least that’s the case when they are allowed to operate at full capacity).

The market runs from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm on Sundays between November and April. It features a good variety of fresh produce vendors, artists and makers of homemade products.

In late 2019 and early 2020 the market was scheduled to be open every Sunday between November 3rd and April 26th except for December 29th (for the Christmas holidays) and April 12th (for Easter). In the following season, the market operated from November 1st in 2020 until April 25th in 2021.

The 2021/22 season began on November 7th and ran most Sundays until the end of April in 2022. The 2022/23 market began on November 6th.

What’s in the Area?

Port Moody is an attractive town with a number of places of interest.

Just behind the Port Moody Recreation Complex are great walking trails that lead to the water and then all the way to Rocky Point Park. If it’s a sunny day then definitely combine your trip to the market with a stroll through the park.

About a 10-minute drive from the market venue are Belcarra Regional Park and Sasamat Lake which are other great places to explore. Trails go all around the lake and the scenery is beautiful.

Also only about 20 minutes away by car is stunning Buntzen Lake. Both parks make fabulous spots for a picnic.
