Port Moody Winter Farmers Market

The Port Moody Farmers Market is a Metro Vancouver market at the Port Moody Recreation Complex on Sundays in winter and on Wednesdays in the summer.

The winter version of the market runs from November until April. The summer version of the market usually goes from June until October.

 

Port Moody Winter Markets

The Port Moody Winter Farmers Market is a medium-sized market. It takes place both indoors and outdoors at the Port Moody Recreation Complex at 300 Ioco Road. In an average week there are between about 35 and 40 vendors.

The market runs from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm on Sundays between November and April. It features a good variety of fresh produce vendors, artists and makers of homemade products.

The market’s 2024/2025 winter season runs from November 3rd, 2024, until April 27th, 2025. It happens almost every week during that time, except on December 29th and January 5th.

 

Port Moody Summer Farmers Market

In addition to the winter market, Port Moody also has a summer market. It too happens at the Port Moody Recreation Complex at 300 Ioco Road. Whereas the winter event happens on Sundays from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, the summer market takes place on Wednesdays between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm and runs from June to October.

What’s in the Area?

Port Moody is an attractive town with a number of places of interest.

Just behind the Port Moody Recreation Complex are great walking trails that lead to the water and then all the way to Rocky Point Park. If it’s a sunny day then definitely combine your trip to the market with a stroll through the park.

About a 10-minute drive from the market venue are Belcarra Regional Park and Sasamat Lake which are other great places to explore. Trails go all around the lake and the scenery is beautiful.

Also only about 20 minutes away by car is stunning Buntzen Lake. Both parks make fabulous spots for a picnic.

Another great place to find fresh produce and artisan products is the Coquitlam Farmers Market. It’s run by the same organizers and takes place at the Dogwood Pavilion at 624 Poirier Street in Coquitlam. The Coquitlam event operates on Sundays between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm from May until October.
