Backyard Vineyard Winery

Located just under an hour from downtown Vancouver, Backyard Vineyards is a Langley winery that’s open year-round for tastings.

Langley’s Backyard Vineyards

Backyard Vineyards opened in 2009, making it one of the newer wineries in the Fraser Valley. The place has won many awards for its wines between 2010 and now.

Location and Hours

The winery is located at 3033 232nd Street in Langley. This is about a 50-minute drive from downtown Vancouver and just 15 minutes from Langley City.

Backyard Vineyard winery is open seven days a week all year-round. From Sunday through Thursday the winery is open from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. On Fridays and Saturdays it’s open from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm.

Tastings, Tours and Events

Backyard Vineyards offers both tours and tastings. All tours include a tasting as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the wine production facilities. Basic tours cost about $25 per person, as of early 2026. Guests can also book private tours.

As of January, 2026, tastings cost $10 to 15 depending on the type of wine flight selected. Each flight contains four separate types of wine. It costs $10 for Backyard Social wines or $15 for reserve wines.

Date Night at Backyard Vineyards

Date Nights were special events hosted by Backyard Vineyards. Events used take place on select Saturdays throughout the year and were quite popular. When we last checked in early 2026, it looks like this event is no longer offered.

When this event was offered, tickets to Date Night cost about $60 plus tax and included a cheese and charcuterie platter, a wine flight and a dessert plate paired with a glass of wine. Since alcohol was served at Date Nights, these events were reserved for guests ages 19 and above.

Wines at Backyard Vineyard

Wine offerings at Backyard Vineyards include a selection of red, white, rose, sparkling and reserve wines. There are around 20 wines in total.

Prices range between $28 for a 2024 bottle of Riesling or Kerner up to $60 for a bottle of Blanc de Blancs Brut. A selection of gift packs containing multiple bottles are also available.

Backyard Vineyards wines can be found at BC Liquor stores, Save On Foods and a number of other places.
