BC Gin Festival in Vancouver in 2026

BC Gin Festival

The BC Gin Festival is a gin-themed spirits-tasting event taking place at Vancouver’s Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown.

In 2026, the event takes place on Saturday, February 28th, with the main tasting once again hosted at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown. Additional masterclasses take place earlier in the month at Legacy Liquor Store.

Vancouver is home to a number of great festivals for other adult beverages. There was Whisky Global Vancouver in early winter and the Vancouver International Wine Festival in the spring. There is also Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week in November. The BC Gin Festival, meanwhile, happened in March. Other adult beverage-themed events in the spring included Brewhalla North Vancouver in April and Brewhalla Fort Langley in May.

Vancouver’s BC Gin Festival

The BC Gin Festival is a relatively new event. In 2025 it celebrated its second year. The Indian Summer Arts Society runs the festival, and proceeds from ticket sales help support the charity’s year-round programming and the Vancouver Indian Summer Festival in July.

In 2026 the festival features about 100 gin varieties from over 30 distilleries. They include both BC craft distillers and international brands. Distilleries from across the province are represented, including some from Vancouver Island, Metro Vancouver and the Sunshine Coast.

The BC Gin Festival is a great chance to taste gins, as well as dive into the distillery process. Unlike many drink festivals, you don’t need tokens at this event. Guests can enjoy unlimited samples during the tasting sessions!

2026 Schedule of Events

In 2026 the BC Gin Festival features three masterclass sessions leading up to the main tasting events. All masterclasses take place at Legacy Liquor Store in Olympic Village, while the grand tastings happen at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown. Below are the details for the 2026 festival lineup.

Blend Your Own Gin (Saturday, February 14th, 2026)

The festival starts with a blending workshop hosted by Salish Sea Spirits at 7:00 pm at Legacy Liquor Store. The session includes guided tastings of small-batch gin, followed by an opportunity to create a custom 200 ml bottle to take home.

From Concept to Bottle (Saturday, February 21st, 2026)

This masterclass begins at 7:00 pm at Legacy Liquor Store and is led by distillers from Bruinwood Distillery. The class teaches guests what it takes to start a small craft distillery. Including stories from the distiller’s early days, understanding how they overcame challenges, and developed innovative spirits.

Gin Side Story – Intro to the World of Gin (Friday, February 27th, 2026)

The final masterclass is with Darryl Lamb of Legacy Liquor Store.  It runs from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, offering an accessible understanding of traditional and experimental gin styles.

Main Event Tasting Night (Saturday, February 28th, 2026)

The festival’s main celebration takes place at the Roundhouse with two sessions. The first tasting happens from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and the later tasting runs from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm. There are over a hundred gins on hand from more than two dozen distilleries and unlimited samples are included with the ticket price. Alongside the gin, there is live music and some food vendors.

There’s a bottle shop at the Roundhouse. So if there’s a standout sample, you can get a full bottle of it right away. As mentioned, proceeds from the festival help fund the Vancouver Indian Summer Festival, another great event.
