Home Show Costs

Admission costs to the BC Home & Garden Show in February 2024 are the following:

  • Adults (ages 13+) – $16 at the door or $14 before February 7th
  • Seniors (60+) – $11
  • Half Day Ticket (4:00 pm until close) – $8
  • Children (12 & under) – free

TIP: Buy your tickets online and save $2 if you’re an adult. Also, look out for the show’s 2-for-1 ads on social media. They appear as ads, so you can’t generally find them in their regular social media posts, just in their ads. You’ll sometimes see these deals shortly before the start of the event, so it can pay sometimes to wait a bit before buying your tickets.

HOME RENOVATION TIP

Looking for inexpensive, environmentally-friendly and socially-responsible building materials for your renovations? Then check out a ReStore building supply store in the Lower Mainland.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that runs ReStore which is a non-profit social enterprise that sells second-hand building supplies. By doing so they keep tons of materials out of landfills and raise money to help people in need of affordable housing.

If you’re (1) looking for new appliances, kitchen cabinets, building materials or hundreds of other home and garden products, (2) want to save lots of money, (3) don’t mind second-hand and (4) want to make a difference in society and the environment, before buying anything new, check out a Habitat for Humanity ReStore location near you. And if you do want new, be sure to donate your post-renovations good-quality second-hand items to Habitat for Humanity.

If in good condition, ReStore locations take most appliances, sheets of drywall, plywood, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, framed mirrors, outdoor furniture, BBQs and lots of other items. In many cases they’ll even pick up your items, plus give you a tax receipt for the value of your donation!

Habitat for Humanity has ReStore locations in Maple Ridge, Burnaby, Langley and North Vancouver. Click Habitat for Humanity of Greater Vancouver for more information.

What’s at the Show?

The Home & Garden Show is a trade show, so expect to see over 400 exhibitors with all kinds of home and garden displays.

At the event there are usually Jacuzzis, bed mattresses, furniture, fireplaces, kitchen gadgets, window displays, home decor and various other items for the inside of a house. There are also lawn care services, gutter repair people, outdoor patio furniture, lighting experts and timeshare sales agents.

You can also find cleaning product demonstrations, financial services agents and roofing experts, plus tons of other things of interest to people who have recently moved into a new place or are looking at renovations and upgrades where they presently live.

The Vancouver Fall Home Show is a similar event to the Vancouver Home & Garden Show, but in October instead of the winter or spring. Both are run by the same organization. The main difference between the two is the season when they take place – with one in the winter or spring and the other in autumn. Both focus on products and services for the home. The event in the winter or spring, however, also has lots of garden-themed vendors. The event runs in the winter of 2024 from February 8th to 11th.
