Nordstorm was a high-end department store at Pacific Centre mall near Robson Square in downtown Vancouver.
This was the American retailer’s third full-line location in Canada, and this flagship store was found on some of Vancouver’s most expensive real estate.
STORE CLOSING IN 2023
In early 2023 Nordstrom announced that it was pulling out of Canada. As a result, the Vancouver location closed permanently that summer.
Nordstrom Vancouver
Until it closed, Nordstrom was located in the former site of Sears Canada’s flagship Vancouver location, with its borders being the iconic streets of Howe, Granville and Robson, all of which is in the heart of Vancouver’s best shopping area.
At the far end of the Pacific Centre mall is luxury competitor Holt Renfrew, and between the two department stores are dozens of other brand name designers, including Boss, Coach, the Disney Store, Guess, Harry Rosen, H&M and Hollister. Close by is also Vancouver’s other main and original higher-end department store, the Hudson’s Bay, located only a block or so away at 674 Granville Street.
Nordstrom is a fashion specialty retailer famous for its exceptional customer service, and its arrival in Vancouver had been a much anticipated event.
