A number of Vancouver restaurants offer special Thanksgiving dinners for people who don’t want to cook their own dinners. You can dine in or take out.
Thanksgiving takes place on the second Sunday in October each year. The day after, Thanksgiving Monday, is a statutory holiday. Those dates in 2025 are October 12th and 13th.
During the Thanksgiving season friends and family typically get together for dinner which frequently includes turkey and/or ham (or a vegetarian or vegan alternative). Preparing the dinner can be a lot of work, which is why some people eat out, or order full turkey dinners for takeout from local restaurants.

Thanksgiving Dinner Options at Metro Vancouver Restaurants
Below is information about special Thanksgiving dinner options at a few restaurants in downtown Vancouver and on the North Shore.
Restaurants to check out include the H2 Kitchen and H Tasting Lounge at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Coal Harbour in Vancouver. Also in Vancouver is the P2B Bistro & Bar at the Pinnacle Harbourfront Hotel, which has both dine-in and turkey dinner to-go options. For a sit-down turkey dinner, there is also Tutto which is a really nice Italian restaurant in Yaletown.
Restaurants to check out on Vancouver’s North Shore include the Pier 7 Restaurant + Bar and Lobby Restaurant. Both of these are in the Shipyards District, not far from Lonsdale Quay. The Lobby Restaurant is in the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier and the Pier 7 is right on the waterfront. Both offer special Thanksgiving menus for people wanting to dine out. The Lobby also has special dinner-to-go options you can pre-order.
Lots of other restaurants are open in the Lower Mainland with turkey and other special Thanksgiving dinner options. Below we list just a few that we know are especially good and popular.
Note: Events that typically happen around this time of year include Pumpkin Patches at farms in the Fraser Valley, Haunted Houses in various communities, and plenty of Shows & Entertainment (including a couple of plays as well as circus shows with both Circo Osorio and Cirque du Soleil). There is also the Fort Langley Cranberry Festival and a Made in the 604 Market in North Vancouver.
HOTEL TIPS
Thanksgiving can be a great time for a staycation at a local hotel. Did you know that hotel rates can sometimes be lower than average on the Thanksgiving long weekend? That’s because not so many people are travelling for work, and Thanksgiving tends to be a time for visiting family more than vacationing. Hotels like the Westin Bayshore Vancouver, Pinnacle Harbourfront Hotel and Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier are all terrific places to stay overnight.
And here’s another tip. If you want to stay at a hotel in downtown Vancouver, be sure to check out the website StayVancouverHotels.com! Through it you can get some really good deals, plus bonus perks like gift cards and tickets to events.
(Note: You can’t book a night at the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier through StayVancouverHotels.com because it isn’t in downtown Vancouver. You can, though, book a room there directly through the hotel or through other online hotel reservation websites.)
Vancouver Restaurant Thanksgiving Specials
Below are details on what a few high-quality Vancouver restaurants offered as Thanksgiving dinner specials in last year.
H Tasting Lounge & H2 Kitchen
Located in the Westin Bayshore Vancouver at 1601 Bayshore Drive, the H2 Kitchen + Bar offered a weekly Sunday Supper Series in the fall that included the Thanksgiving weekend. On Sunday, October 13th, the Sunday Supper turned into the Thanksgiving Special. It was a three-course meal with an appetizer, main course and dessert for just $36.
Another great restaurant at the Westin Bayshore is the H Tasting Lounge. It’s also a terrific place to eat any day of the year. Last year, if you ordered a few days in advance, you could get a full turkey dinner to go for up to 10 people for $399.
Visit the H2 Kitchen + Bar or H Tasting Lounge websites to learn more about these two restaurants.
Tutto Restaurant & Bar
Tutto Restaurant and Bar is located at 901 Homer Street in the heart of downtown. It offered a Thanksgiving dinner on Monday, October 14th.
The dinner special at the high-end Italian restaurant was a set meal that included roast turkey, potato gratin with prosciutto, sage and chestnut stuffing, Brussels sprouts, and gravy. The cost was $39.
There was aso the option for a drink pairing with the food. Tutto recommended its featured wine: Ferraton La Marinière Crozes-Hermitage, from Rhône. Made from Syrah grapes, the wine was priced at $19 for a glass and $91 for a full bottle.

P2B Bistro & Bar
P2B Bistro & Bar went all-out for Thanksgiving, with dinner options available for a full week from October 7th to 14th last year. The restaurant is located at 1133 West Hastings Street in the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront. The P2B offered both dine-in and take-out options for its Thanksgiving dinners.
The holiday dinner options were available for dine-in eating from the 7th to 14th. They could be ordered individually or as a three-course meal for $57 (which saved about $5 to $15 depending on which main course you ordered). The appetizer was a gala apple and beet salad, and the dessert was a deep dish apple pie with salted caramel ice cream. The mains included traditional turkey dinner, pecan Pacific salmon, and roasted mushroom ravioli.
On the Saturday to Monday (October 12th to 14th), there was the “Family Style” Thanksgiving dinner which served 10 people and cost $475. The dinner included a whole roasted turkey, salad, mashed potatoes, stuffing, a variety of vegetables, and apple pie. The “Family Style” dinner could be ordered as a takeout option which cost about $50 less, and there was also a Turkey Dinner for Two takeout option for $115. (Note: For the take-out options you had to order before Friday, October 11th, at 9:00 am.)
Check out the P2B Bistro & Bar website for full details.
North Vancouver Restaurant Thanksgiving Specials
Below are details on the Thanksgiving dinner specials at a couple of very good North Vancouver restaurants last year.
Pier 7 Restaurant + Bar
Pier 7 Restaurant + Bar is right on the water at 25 Wallace Mews in the Shipyards District. The restaurant offered its three-course Thanksgiving feast along with a few other appetizers on Sunday, October 13th, and Monday, October 14th.
The full dinner menu included the options of butternut squash soup or beet and burrata for the first course, then confit turkey, bison short rib risotto or grilled cauliflower steak for the second, and either pumpkin crème caramel or apple and caramel galette for the third. The cost was $65 per person.
There were also a few shared plates that could be ordered separately, including honey garlic green beans, stuffed frites, and biscuits with butter and jams.
Visit the Pier 7 Restaurant + Bar website for more information.
ARTISAN MARKET IN NORTH VANCOUVER
If you go out to the Shipyards on the Thanksgiving long weekend, check out the Made in the 604 Artisan Market. It takes place at the Pipe Shop which is just steps from both the Pier 7 and Lobby restaurants in North Vancouver. The Pipe Shop is full of artisan vendors on that day, and admission to the venue is free!
The Lobby Restaurant & Lounge
The eatery inside the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier at 138 Victory Ship Way is the Lobby Restaurant & Lounge. This restaurant has regular three-course meal offerings, and that includes a Thanksgiving special.
Last year’s Thanksgiving dinner cost $58, and every dish on the menu had a suggested wine pairing. For a starter you could choose between smoked salmon bisque, cranberry and brie tart, and Brussels sprout and apple salad. Mains included slow roasted Fraser Valley turkey, prime rib, Haida Gwaii halibut or stuffed autumn acorn squash. You could finish the meal off with chocolate pumpkin cake for dessert.
There was a Thanksgiving Turkey To-Go takeout option for those who preferred to eat their holiday dinner at home. This meal package served eight to 10 people and included turkey, garlic mashed potatoes, apple and sage stuffing, and maple glazed vegetables. The whole package cost $399, with the option to add on a prime rib for another $295. (Note: For the takeout options you had to order in advance.)
