P2B Bistro & Bar is in the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront on West Hastings Street in downtown Vancouver. It’s a great restaurant with a casual style and live music.

The restaurant’s Mother’s Day buffet in 2024 includes coffee, tea and smoothies. There is also an assortment of pastries, plus fresh fruit and salads. At the hot brunch station you’ll find pancakes, sausages, macaroni and cheese, spring rolls and other tasty things. There are also stations with seafood, charcuterie items, desserts and more. P2B Bistro & Bar at the Pinnacle Hotel
The P2B Bistro & Bar is a casual restaurant with modern decor. It serves as the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront‘s main dining facility. The hotel is a 4-star place to stay in Coal Harbour and the restaurant receives very good reviews. P2B offers upscale but simple food made with fresh, sustainable and local ingredients.
The restaurant features waterfront views with both indoor and outdoor seating options. P2B is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the year. The place offers very nice weekend brunches as well, especially on special occasions like at Easter and on Mother’s Day.
The restaurant features live music on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm and daily breakfast until 11:30am. It’s an exceptional restaurant for hotel guests, but also for anyone looking for a nice place to enjoy West Coast dishes and chilled cocktails.
What do we like about the P2B Bistro & Bar? There are a number of things. For one, it’s in a prime location, right in the heart of downtown, and close the Vancouver Convention Centre. Second, the food is really good! It’s a West Coast-style restaurant with a variety of menu items, from premium Ocean Wise seafood to steak, pasta and pizza, plus prime rib on Sundays (a popular favourite). We have always been impressed with the food and service at P2B Bistro and look forward to keep going back.
Prices at the restaurant are reasonable for what you get, and especially so between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. The last time we went, Happy Hour highballs and draft beers were just $6, and 5 oz. glasses of wine are $7. The restaurant environment is very nice, with massive windows and natural light. On warm days, the outdoor patio is lovely. Located inside the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront, P2B Restaurant is the perfect spot for any occasion and highly recommended.
Location and Hours
The Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront is at 1133 West Hastings Street in the City of Vancouver. As of January, 2024, the restaurant’s hours are from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm on weekdays and from 7:00 am until 10:00 pm on weekends. The bar remains open until 11:00 pm each day.
P2B Bistro & Bar has massive floor-to-ceiling windows on the West Cordova Street side of the hotel. The natural lighting is beautiful, as is the view. On sunny days you can see the North Shore Mountains in the distance. From late fall until early spring you can also see the Burrard Inlet water. In the summer, when the patio becomes popular, you have views of the mountains behind lush green trees. It’s a really nice spot!
P2B Bistro Menus
The P2B Bistro & Bar offers a few different menus depending on the time of day. The breakfast menu is available each morning, followed by a lunch and dinner menu. There’s also a drinks menu with Happy Hour specials and a few food items, plus a separate menu for children.
Breakfast at the restaurant is served until 11:30 am every day. There are all sorts of classic options including smoothie bowls, omelets, French toast, pancakes, and a variety of coffees. The restaurant also offers a daily breakfast buffet until 10:00 am on weekdays and 10:30 am on weekends. It includes meats, scrambled eggs, granola, pastries, drinks and other items.
P2B has one menu for both lunch and dinner. There are soups, fries and big starter plates to share. There are also burgers, salads and a couple of pizzas. On Sundays after 5:00 pm, one popular option is slow roasted prime rib. Other main dishes include pastas, rice bowls, steak and more. For dessert, there’s chocolate cake, strawberry cheesecake, crème brûlée and ice cream. We’ve had the chocolate cake and the ice cream. Both were delicious!
Happy Hour & Kids’ Menus
The restaurant’s bar serves an impressive selection of beers and cocktails. There are also white and red wines to enjoy by the glass or by the bottle. Happy Hour runs daily between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. During this time, select alcoholic beverages are on sale along with some starter dishes and a charcuterie board. When we’re downtown for an event and looking for a drink or bite to eat, the P2B Bistro is one of the more frequently visited places we go to.
P2B’s kids’ menu is for children ages 12 and under. For breakfast, younger folks can enjoy a stack of pancakes, French toast or cereal. The other option is a traditional dish with egg, toast, bacon and hashbrowns. The breakfast menu items come with a fruit cup and a choice of milk or juice. For lunch and dinner, kids get veggie sticks, milk or juice and a dessert with each menu item. Main options include mini cheeseburgers, chicken fingers and grilled cheese sandwiches.
Ocean Wise Seafood at the P2B Bistro
Another thing we really like about the P2B Bistro is the fact that the restaurant serves Ocean Wise seafood. Not only does its chowder, prawns, salmon, halibut and lingcod all taste delicious, but the fish and shellfish are harvested in a sustainable and environmentally-responsible manner. The restaurant’s Ocean Wise menu items aren’t from industrial farms or caught by fish factories that cause damage to the ocean floor or other marine life unnecessarily. This means you can enjoy the delicious seafood and not have a guilty conscience!
Ocean Wise is a great program that encourages environmentally-friendly fishing practices. More restaurants like the P2B Bistro should ensure that their seafood menu options are caught sustainably. Whenever and wherever you eat out, be sure to look out for the Ocean Wise logo!
Our Experience & Recommendations
We’ve eaten at the P2B Bistro & Bar a number of times and always had a pleasant experience. We’ve also eaten at the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront during conferences and events.
Menu items we’ve had at the restaurant recently (as of June 2023) include the West Coast Seafood Chowder and House Smoked Brisket. Both were amazing! The soup was the best seafood chowder we can remember ever having in fact. It was that good! The brisket was also impressive. It literally melted in your mouth!
Other tasty items we’ve had from the menu and can recommend include the Crisp Apple Salad, Cedar Plank Maple Sockeye Salmon, Haida Gwaii Halibut, New Zealand Lamb Chops & Scallop, and Chicken Mushroom Penne. We’ve also had the La Panza Olive Oil Cake and the ice cream. All were delicious!

The next time we go we’ll likely order the Mixed Grill Platter which comes with smoked brisket, lamb, lemongrass chicken, tiger prawns, cooked vegetables and mashed potatoes. That will be awesome to share! We love it when you can try a variety of different things.
From our experience, the service at the P2B Bistro is excellent. The waiters are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Our food has always been hot and tasty, and brought out in a timely manner. We’ve also found the recommendations of our server to be very valuable, both for the food and our drinks to go with it.
