Capilano Suspension Bridge is one of Canada’s most popular tourist attractions. In 2026 it hosts Canyon Kick-Off to celebrate the FIFA World Cup in Vancouver.

Capilano Bridge is where you’ll find a world-famous suspension bridge over a canyon as well as a Cliffwalk, bridges through the trees, and boardwalks through the forest. It’s open 365 days a year. The place also hosts seasonal events at various times of the year, including Love Lights in February, Hoppy Heights at Easter, Canyon Frights at Halloween and Canyon Lights during the Christmas season. New for 2026, and only for 2026, the attraction hosts Canyon Kick-Off which features special decorations for international soccer fans to enjoy.

Canyon Kick-Off at Capilano Bridge

Canyon Kick-Off at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park features soccer-themed activities, photo backdrops and global food while the FIFA World Cup is in Vancouver. The event is a special celebration taking place at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park during the FIFA World Cup in the summer of 2026. The soccer-themed event runs from June 6th to July 19th.

During Canyon Kick-Off, throughout the park, visitors can experience soccer-inspired displays, themed activities and interactive experiences surrounded by the West Coast rainforest. Country colours and decorations representing the eight nations competing in Vancouver appear throughout the attraction while a giant soccer ball installation suspended beneath the bridge creates one of the event’s signature photo opportunities.

Guests can also enjoy custom photo backdrops, pop-up displays and themed attractions celebrating the spirit of the tournament. Family-friendly activities include football games, soccer cornhole and the Rainforest Explorer sticker album challenge. The event takes place across the park’s main attractions including the Suspension Bridge, Cliffwalk and Treetops Adventure.

 

International Food and Drinks at Canyon Kick-Off

As part of the celebration, the Cliff House Restaurant features a globally inspired menu highlighting flavours connected to the countries competing in Vancouver. Special offerings include Tim Tam caramel ice cream pie from Australia, Belgian moules frites, a Canadian Caesar topped with maple caramelized bacon, Egyptian baba ganoush, New Zealand sauvignon blanc, Qatari karak chai, Swiss alpine mac and cheese and Turkish pistachio kataifi served with black tea.

Dates, Hours and Admission for Canyon Kick-Off

Canyon Kick-Off runs daily from June 6th until July 19th. Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is open from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm with visitors permitted to remain in the park for up to one hour after closing.

Advance tickets are recommended especially during busy tournament periods. Admission includes access to all of the park’s attractions and special event features. Complimentary shuttle service is also available from Canada Place in downtown Vancouver.

British Columbia residents who purchase a regular one-day admission ticket can receive a free annual pass upgrade through the park’s BC Residents Annual Pass program.

Love Lights at Capilano Bridge

Love Lights is Capilano Suspension Bridge Park’s romantic Valentine-themed event featuring millions of sparkling lights, special dining experiences and photo opportunities.

Each February, Love Lights transforms the park into a glowing celebration of love. Visitors can stroll across the famous 450-foot suspension bridge and explore Cliffwalk and Treetops Adventure while surrounded by twinkling lights throughout the rainforest. The illuminated displays create a magical atmosphere and provide countless opportunities for memorable photographs.

Special photo installations include a giant LOVE sign, a colourful heart balloon display, a whimsical 3D heart and macaroon frame and other romantic backdrops located throughout the attraction. These displays make the event especially popular with couples, friends and families looking to capture unique Valentine’s Day memories.

The Cliff House Restaurant also offers a limited-time menu featuring seasonal food and beverages. Past highlights have included the Smoke Show Martini, HeartBeet Velouté soup and Raspberry HibisKiss cocktails. Hoppy Heights at Capilano Bridge

Hoppy Heights is Capilano Suspension Bridge Park’s Easter and spring celebration featuring family-friendly activities, seasonal displays and special spring-themed experiences.

The event takes place during Spring Break and the Easter season. Hoppy Heights offers visitors a variety of interactive activities throughout the park. One of the most popular attractions is Echo Eagle’s Eggsploration, a scavenger-style adventure where participants search for clues and can earn a chocolate treat upon completion.

Families can also enjoy spring-themed colouring activities, games at the Kids Corner, educational Nature Tours, Totem Talks and special presentations from park interpreters. Seasonal decorations and blooming spring displays help create a festive atmosphere throughout the rainforest attraction.

Guests can find several spring-themed photo opportunities including giant floral frames, Easter-inspired displays and playful bunny backdrops. The Trading Post gift shop features Easter-themed merchandise, activity books, stuffed animals and seasonal treats.

At the Cliff House Restaurant, visitors can also enjoy limited-time menu items inspired by the season. Previous offerings have included Strawberry Easter Punch, Green Pea Velouté, Braised Lamb Shank and decadent chocolate desserts.

Each fall, the attraction embraces the Halloween season with themed displays throughout the park. The suspension bridge, rainforest trails and treetop walkways are decorated with pumpkins, autumn colours and playful Halloween elements that create a festive atmosphere without being overly frightening for children.

During the event, guests can encounter seasonal decorations hidden throughout the forest, participate in family-friendly activities and enjoy themed photo opportunities. Costumed characters and interactive displays often add to the excitement.

Christmas with Canyon Lights at Capilano Bridge

Canyon Lights is Capilano Suspension Bridge Park’s Christmas and holiday event featuring spectacular light displays throughout the rainforest.

Canyon Lights transforms the entire park into a dazzling winter wonderland. Millions of lights illuminate the suspension bridge, Cliffwalk, Treetops Adventure and forest pathways.

A highlight of the event is Wildlight, an immersive projection experience deep within the rainforest where West Coast wildlife appears to come to life through large-scale animated displays. Forest creatures including bears, coyotes and owls are projected onto the natural landscape.

Families can visit festive holiday displays throughout the park including a North Pole-themed photo area complete with Santa’s sleigh, reindeer displays and other seasonal decorations. Children can also participate in interactive activities and collect keepsake stickers while exploring the rainforest.
