About Centennial Theatre

Centennial Theatre is a fair-sized venue that hosts all sorts of events and productions. It’s the biggest multi-purpose performing arts venue on Vancouver’s North Shore.

The theatre seats up to 658 people and features high quality sound and lighting systems. There’s a performance studio and dressing room in the building as well. Centennial Theatre’s lobby includes a licensed concession area and there is often local art on display. Several events take place at the venue each month, including everything from touring musicals and concerts to school plays and graduation ceremonies.

Located at 2300 Lonsdale Avenue in North Vancouver, Centennial Theatre is about two dozen blocks up the hill from the Shipyards District and the SeaBus Terminal at Lonsdale Quay. It’s an easy 15-minute bus ride from the SeaBus.

For folks wanting to drive, there are a couple of drop-off and pick-up spots along East 23rd Street. Limited parking is available at North Shore Alliance Church as well, located about one block east of the theatre. There is also street parking in the area. The theatre used to have a large parking lot. As of 2024, however, it’s a construction zone while the city builds a new Harry Jerome Recreation Centre.
