About Langley City
Of the over 20 municipalities that comprise Metro Vancouver, two of them are named Langley. There is the Township of Langley, which is quite large, spread out and includes Fort Langley in the north and Aldergrove to the east. Langley City, meanwhile, is the urban core of the area. It is highly walkable, has a cute downtown area, a nice central park, and a good number of nice shops and restaurants.
The population of Langley City is about 29,000 (which makes it slightly smaller than Port Moody but bigger than White Rock). The Township of Langley, on the other hand, has closer to 135,000 or more (which makes it the sixth largest municipality in Metro Vancouver). Although one of the smaller cities in Metro Vancouver, Langley City punches above its weight when it comes to events. It’s also a nice place to live, and to visit, especially when there are events going on.
