Vancouver’s EnChor Choir and its Fields of Gold Concert in 2024

EnChor Choir

Based in Vancouver, the EnChor Choir is an experienced group of singers that put on a couple of public concerts each year.

It’s a terrific classical choir. In additional to singing classical pieces, however, their concerts include a wide range of songs. When we went there was also Folk music and a couple of arrangements with contemporary tunes by Sting and Coldplay. There were even a couple of songs where the audience got to sing along. We enjoyed the concert immensely.

See the EnChor.ca website for full details about the choir or continue reading below.

EnChor Choir in Vancouver

The EnChor Choir is an auditioned, Vancouver-based choir that was founded in 2007. The group includes a mix of soprano, alto, tenor and bass singers. In total, there are about 60 members, plus director Morna Edmundson. The group is full of experienced singers ages 55 and above. One of the members arranges some of the choir’s music himself. The director is very accomplished and highly respected. She’s also the artistic director of the Elektra Women’s Choir.

The choir practices at Pacific Spirit United Church at 2195 West 45th Avenue in the Vancouver neighbourhood of Kerrisdale. The choir uses the church’s space, but isn’t otherwise affiliated with the church.

The EnChor Choir performs a minimum of two public shows each year. They also sing at private events and assisted living buildings. The group aims to share their love of singing and inspire others.
