Big Bounce America is about bouncy castles and inflatable obstacle courses. The Big Bounce Canada version typically happens in the summer.
NOTE: This event in Vancouver was CANCELLED in 2025 due to safety concerns by Technical Safety BC. Consequently, it did NOT happen as planned.
Presented by XL Event Lab from Florida, the touring American amusement park company was to set up at Concord Pacific Place in Vancouver in late August in 2025. That’s around the same time as The PNE Fair (which is another event you won’t want to miss). Other awesome things to do in late August include spending time at the Salmon Sessions Music Festival in South Surrey, the Summer Music & Fireworks Festival in New Westminster, and TAIWANfest in Vancouver.
TIP: If you like bouncy things, local attractions with giant jumping pillows and other kid-friendly activities, more places to check out this summer are Maan Farms and Taves Family Farms in Abbotsford as well as Greendale Acres and the Chilliwack Corn Maze in the Fraser Valley. The farms are all so much fun, and they offer so many family-friendly things to see and do. Kids love them! Very similar to Big Bounce Canada, but on the water, there is Harrison Water Sports at Harrison Hot Springs too.
The Big Bounce Canada Touring Inflatable Attraction
In the second half of August, Vancouver was to play host to the amusement attraction The Big Bounce Canada. The Big Bounce contains what it calls the “World’s Biggest Bouncy Castle” as well as a series of other inflatable attractions to enjoy.
The Big Bounce is for people of all ages, but especially for kids. There are designated time slots for different ages so that younger children can have their time to go with only others of similar ages, and adults can enjoy it without worrying about having a bunch of kids running around them.
The Big Bounce tour first came to BC in 2023 when it was at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds in Surrey. In 2025 The Big Bounce in Vancouver was to run from August 22nd to 31st.
Big Bounce Location and Admission
In 2025 Big Bounce was going to be in Vancouver from June 28th to July 6th and then in Victoria from July 11th to 13th. However, those plans changed. The attraction was re-scheduled to visit Vancouver from August 22nd to 31st in 2025, but has since been cancelled. As of July, Victoria dates and details for this year were to be determined. Maybe it was to be in Victoria too, or maybe not.
When it does run, the Big Bounce sets up on the concrete open space at Concord Pacific Place. The venue’s address is 88 Pacific Boulevard in Vancouver. Normally Big Bounce sets up in a park on grass, which was the case when it visited the Lower Mainland last time, a couple of years ago, when it was in Surrey.
Tickets to The Big Bounce are usually for three-hour timeslots. They are booked for specific times as the attraction rotates between sessions for different age groups over the course of the day. Admission for each of these sessions in 2025 was to start at the following rates (including taxes and online fees which range between about $12 and $16 per ticket):
- Toddler Session (ages 3 and under): $43.84
- Junior Session (ages 7+): $52.45
- Bigger Kids Session (ages 15 and under) : $52.45
- Adults Only Session (ages 16+): $64.75
In addition to the above, if you wanted to spend an extra $30, you could upgrade to a VIP pass which gave you extra benefits like access to a VIP shaded seating area, a VIP lane for The World’s Biggest Bounce House, and discounts on things like face painting and food. With the VIP pass you would also get a pair of souvenir socks.
Admission Things to Know
Assuming it returns in the furture, here are some things to keep in mind regarding admission. For the toddler session every child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Adults can also choose to accompany their children for the Junior and Bigger Kids sessions if they’d like. There is no fee for standing outside the attractions and watching, but if an adult joins their child on the attraction they must purchase their own ticket (for the same price as the child).
There is no minimum age for any of the three kids sessions. Although a five-year-old can join in on a Bigger Kids session, the company recommends that children stay within a session designated for their age range. The 16+ age minimum for the adults session, however, has no exceptions.
The Five Attractions
The Big Bounce contains five distinct sections. Attendees have unlimited access to four of them over the course of their three hours. The World’s Biggest Bouncy Castle, however, can only be accessed during a specific time slot indicated on the ticket.
All attendees must wear socks and no shoes when inside all of the sections. There are “entry zones” at each of them where you can place your shoes before going in and then put them on again afterwards to walk between the different parts of The Big Bounce.
Below are details on each of the five sections.
World’s Biggest Bouncy Castle
This attraction lives up to its name as it’s a bouncy castle that’s over 16,000 square feet in size. Within the castle there are plenty of places to climb and objects to play with. There’s even some oversized couches for those who want to relax and take in what’s unfolding around them. The castle also includes a slide that finishes in a ball pit outside of the enclosure.
As mentioned above this is the only part of The Big Bounce that doesn’t give unlimited access during the three-hour timeslot. That means if attendees want to make the most of their trip they must be careful to not miss the designated time they have to explore the castle.
ROPES COURSES AND ZIPLINES
TIP: If you like obstacle courses, then you’ll also want to check out WildPlay in Maple Ridge. It’s open from mid-February until December. WildPlay features ziplines, ropes courses and other outdoor adventure activities in the forest. See our article about WildPlay Elements Park for details.
With WildPlay, if you use the promo code VBP15 you’ll save 15%.
The Giant
The Giant is a massive obstacle course that’s over 300 metres long. It loops back and forth across the fairground and contains 50 different obstacles to get through. There are objects to climb, bounce across or slide down. To accommodate those of all ages and abilities there is an “easy” option for each of the obstacles alongside the regular version.
Guests have unlimited access to The Giant so they can run through the course as often as they’d like. The same is the case for all of the remaining sections.
Octoblast
Octoblast is a new addition since 2023, and appears to be the smallest of the five sections. There’s a giant octopus in the middle of the bouncy enclosure but no major obstacles or slides or other stuff of that sort.
What it does have, however, are plenty of things to bounce off of and a number of different sea creatures around the edge and in the middle of the section.
airSPACE
The main feature of this section is a giant five-lane slide to race down. There’s also a series of ball pits and other decorative bouncy areas (definitely smaller than the main castle, though).
This section is also a little more chill than some of the other ones. There’s still the big slide to provide some action but there are no obstacles and fewer places to bounce around on. It also seems like potentially the best place to get some pictures taken.
Sport Slam
As the name implies, this section hosts a series of different sports games. The main ones are dodgeball and basketball with hoops to dunk on. There’s also soccer, climbing walls, and a “battle zone” where friends and family can climb onto podiums and try and knock each other off.
There is a designated Big Bounce referee who marshals the different big games that take place. For those who are competitive this is the spot to try and take the crown in various games.
