Flats Fest Community Event in Vancouver
Flats Fest is a festival presented by Low Tide Properties which is a local real estate development and management company. The company was founded by Chip Wilson who also founded Lululemon, Vancouver’s famous yoga clothing brand. Flats Fest is a one-day event that debuted in 2023 and has been running annually ever since It’s outdoors, free to attend and includes a variety of things to do for all ages. In 2025, the event happens on September 6th from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
This year’s edition of Flats Fest features a couple of stages with live music and other types of performances. A few food trucks are on-site, and there are also alcoholic beverages for adults to purchase at the event’s beer garden.
Flats Fest has an artisan market with vendors selling candles, jewellery and other products. There’s also an Emily Carr University Marketplace featuring student art. The event’s Innovation Zone has immersive virtual experiences, along with other technology and games to check out. For kids, there’s a bouncy castle, climbing wall, interactive shows and more.

This year Flats Fest is on Saturday, September 6th. The festival has been taking place in either late August or early September since 2023. In 2025 it runs from noon until 9:00 pm (which is five hours longer than it did in its first year).
Flats Fest takes place outside a Low Tide Properties building at 565 Great Northern Way in Vancouver.
