World Of Love Multicultural Carnival

 

World of Love Multicultural Carnival at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam

The World of Love Multicultural Carnival is an annual one-day event hosted by the North America Chinese Culture Promotion Society. It’s a celebration of various cultures and traditions with more than 250 featured performers. The carnival is a fun way to learn about different heritages. Although there are no amusement rides, there are lots of games and other family-friendly activities at the event. Admission is free.

When and Where?

In 2024 the third World of Love Multicultural Carnival takes place on Saturday, August 24th. The festivities begin at 10:00 am and run until 8:00 pm.

The event happens at Town Centre Park which is located at 1299 Pinetree Way in Coquitlam. It’s close to the Lafarge Lake-Douglas SkyTrain Station. There’s lots of parking at the park for folks wanting to drive.

What to Expect

The World of Love Multicultural Carnival is a diverse cultural celebration. Expect to see friends and families of all ages taking in the festivities.

Live entertainment is a major part of the event. This year features over 250 performers including singers, dancers and musicians. There are artisan vendors and booths from local community organizations. Food trucks are on site selling barbequed meat, noodles and other ethnic cuisines.

The event also features a number of interactive activities. For example, there are traditional Chinese costumes to admire and try on. Attendees get to try sugar painting and creating their own lanterns. There are paper cutting and Chinese calligraphy demonstrations, as well as an exhibition full of paintings and photographs. Other event highlights include a tea ceremony, face painting opportunities and the beautiful Nanjing Qinhuai Lantern Show.
