Serving as a fundraiser for Chilliwack General Hospital, the Fraser Valley Classic Car Show is a community event where you can see some cool cars.
In 2025 the event happened in Chilliwack on Sunday, June 8th. Details of the event in 2026 are to confirmed.
Other events that happen around this time of year include North Vancouver’s Shipyards Night Market and Langley Community Day (both of which are free and feature live music and food trucks). There’s also Fair in the Square and Italian Day on the Drive in Vancouver.

FV Classic Car Show in Chilliwack
The Fraser Valley Classic Car Show isn’t the largest Car Show in the Lower Mainland, but is still a fairly big event. The event returned in 2025 on June 8th.
Anyone can enter their classic vehicle in the show. The only requirement is that the car is from the 20th century (so produced in 1999 or earlier). The cost to enter is a $25 donation to the Chilliwack General Hospital. Admission to the event for spectators is by donation. All proceeds go to the hospital’s charitable foundation.
Where and When is the Car Show
The car show happens at the University of Fraser Valley’s Chilliwack campus near the intersection of Caen Avenue and Dieppe Street. The venue is just a couple of blocks north of Vedder Park. It’s also about a block from the Justice Institute of BC which is located at 5470 Dieppe Street.
The event takes place in the parking lot and on the lawns of the nearby park. The park is a nice setting for the vehicles to set up. Some of the food trucks also set up in the parking lot. The park itself doesn’t actually have a name. It’s just part of the university’s campus.
What to Expect
Don’t expect massive crowds to turn up when the classic car show does run. It’s more of a community event. That doesn’t mean there aren’t lots of interesting cars to see, however, as there are usually vehicles that date back to the 1940s and 1950s.
It’s a great event to check out if you like antique and collectible vehicles. And with admission by donation, it’s both very affordable and for a good cause. There can be up to 140 cars participating.
There are usually various awards given out to owners of the classic vehicles based on public voting. Show categories can include “British American” and “Vintage Motorcycles.”
A new addition in 2025 was a category featuring car projects in progress. There was a prize for the most interesting car, and storytelling was encouraged. Organizers hoped to see some unexpected gems emerge from garages, sheds and backyards.
There are food trucks on-site for those who want to grab a bite to eat while checking out the vehicles. The event is hosted entirely outdoors, and organizers encourage visitors to either wear a hat and use sunscreen if it’s a hot day, or bring an umbrella if rain is in the forecast.
As mentioned above, all proceeds from the classic car show benefit Chilliwack General Hospital. This year, funds were also raised through a Mini Cooper giveaway. Raffle tickets cost $5 each, $10 for three or $25 for seven. Tax receipts were available for donations of $20 or more.
Other Information
Visit the Fraser Valley Classic Car Show website for more information about this event.
TIP: The parking lot at the venue has signs that say “pay parking.” Most years, though, parking on the day is free. If you aren’t sure if it is in a future year, ask one of the volunteers before paying.
