Abbotsford Tulip Trail Flower Festivals

Abbotsford Tulip Trail

The Abbotsford Tulip Trail showcases spring flower festivals and family-friendly events at Lakeland Flowers, Taves Family Farms and Maan Farms in Abbotsford.

There have been Easter activities, spring-themed events, and fields of tulips to enjoy in the Fraser Valley for years. New for 2026, the Abbotsford Tulip Trail is an initiative promoting three of the region’s top attractions as a collective destination.

The Abbotsford Tulip Festival at Lakeland Flowers, the Magic of Spring at Taves Family Farms, and Spring at the Farm at Maan Farms are each worth traveling to from across the Lower Mainland to experience. If you visit more than one of these attractions on the same day, however, it’ll make the trip even more worthwhile and enjoyable. Or maybe head out to the region two or three different times over the course of the spring tulip season and experience the entire trail.

In this article we have information about the Abbotsford Tulip Trail in general, but also details about each of its three destination attractions.

Tulip Farms and Festivals in Abbotsford

The Abbotsford Tulip Trail promises to be a popular spring experience in the Fraser Valley. It highlights area flower festivals and farm attractions featuring tulip displays, seasonal activities and family-friendly entertainment. Each spring, farms across the Abbotsford region transform into colourful destinations where visitors can walk through blooming fields. They can also take photos among thousands of flowers, and enjoy farm experiences, food and special seasonal activities.

The trail connects a variety of tulip-themed attractions, allowing visitors to explore multiple farms in one trip. From large tulip fields to exclusive, custom-designed gardens and kid-friendly adventures, the Abbotsford Tulip Trail offers a memorable way to celebrate spring and experience the beauty of the Fraser Valley countryside.

Of the three farm attractions that are part of the Abbotsford Tulip Trail, the Abbotsford Tulip Festival is the most like a traditional tulip festival, with acres of farmland full of rows of beautiful flowers. Both Taves Family Farms and Maan Farms, on the other hand, have beautiful displays of tulips in magical garden settings, but also giant jumping pillows and other amazing play structure activities for kids. Both also have general stores and their own homemade adult beverages (with craft ciders at Taves and fruit wines at Maan Farms).

When and Where

The Abbotsford Tulip Trail runs during the spring season when tulips bloom across local farms. This year the series runs from March 27th until May 3rd, although the exact end date may vary depending on this year’s growing season and bloom conditions. Also, some locations start earlier or end later than others.

The Abbotsford Tulip Trail showcases several participating farms including Lakeland Flowers, Taves Family Farms, and Maan Farms. Each location offers its own unique interpretation of a tulip festival, allowing visitors to explore multiple experiences throughout the season.

The Abbotsford Tulip Festival takes place at Lakeland Flowers at 3663 Marion Road. It starts up for the season on April 13th and runs until May 3rd. After that, the flower attraction continues until July 1st, but with fields of Peonies primarily first and then lavender.

The Magic of Spring, meanwhile, happens at Taves Family Farms. There are Easter activities on the weekend of April 3rd to 5th. The Magic Tulip Garden and other spring activities then continue until Fridays to Sundays until April 19th. Also located in Abbotsford, the address for Taves Family Farms is 333 Gladwin Road.

Finally, Spring at the Farm happens at Maan Farms which is also located in Abbotsford, at 790 McKenzie Road. It’s not far from the Abbotsford Airport. It’s also close to Taves Family Farms. Spring at the Farm runs daily between March 27th and May 3rd.

Abbotsford Tulip Festival at Lakeland Flowers

One of the highlights of the Abbotsford Tulip Trail is the Abbotsford Tulip Festival at Lakeland Flowers. This large flower festival features more than 35 acres of tulips and other wildflowers planted as a colourful landscape designed for exploring and photography. Visitors can walk along pathways between the blooms while enjoying art installations, scenic viewpoints and whimsical props placed throughout the fields. Giant Dutch wooden shoes, swings, bicycles, canoes and other photo backdrops create memorable scenes among the flowers.

Located at 3663 Marion Road in Abbotsford, the festival usually begins in April and runs for several weeks as different tulip varieties bloom throughout the season. After the tulips finish blooming, visitors can still enjoy other flower displays that continue until Canada Day on July 1st. Tickets are required for entry and can be purchased online before visiting.

In 2026 the Abbotsford Tulip Festival runs from April 13th until May 3rd. The flower are finished by around then, but then other types of flowers continue to bloom ad be on display until July 1st. The venue is open daily between 6:00 am and 8:30 pm throughout the season.

The Magic of Spring at Taves Family Farms

Taves Family Farms celebrates the season with the Magic of Spring. In fall the farm has a Magical Pumpkin Garden. This time of year, however, the same spot transforms into a Magical Tulip Garden. In spring visitors can walk along tulip pathways and discover whimsical scenes such as a gnome home and music drifting through the orchard.

The spring season begins with Easterfest where families can meet baby animals. Later spring weekends continue with tulip and animal experiences around the farm, but with less of an Easter theme. Admission prices range from about $19.00 to $27.00 at the gate with optional Treat Passes available for between $14.75 and $16.75.

In 2026 Easterfest takes place on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the Easter Long Weekend, from April 3rd to 5th. The hours of operation on those dates are from 9:30 am until 4:30 pm. The Magic of Spring continues after that, with both tulips and farm animals still to admire, plus lots of fun playground activities for kids on the Fridays to Sundays of April 10th to 12th and 17th to 19th. On those dates, the farm is open from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.

Spring at the Farm at Maan Farms

Another popular stop along the tulip trail is Spring at the Farm at Maan Farms. This attraction’s address is 790 McKenzie Road. Similar to Taves, this attraction combines tulip displays with family-friendly farm experiences, play structures for kids, and seasonal activities. At Maan Farms, visitors can explore Canada’s first Tulip Forest with its unique pathway of flowers winding through a wooded setting.

In the Tulip Forest, the area features a Giant Teapot House that serves as a creative photo backdrop. There are also swings, tiny houses and other fun displays.

At Maan Farms, whenever it’s open throughout the year, kids and their families can visit Barnyard Adventureland. There are farm snacks and drinks available on-site too.

Spring events at Maan Farms typically run from late March until early May. Ticket prices usually range from approximately $20 to $58 depending on the activities included.

In 2026 Baby Animal Easter Days (BAE Days) take place on the weekends of March 27th to 29th, April 3rd to 6th, and 11th & 12th. Spring at the Farm, meanwhile, happens every day between March 30th and May 3rd. What’s the difference? On Baby Animal Easter Days dates there is more of an Easter theme, with egg hunts and appearances by the Easter Bunny. BAE Days also cost a bit more, with general admission starting at $26.50, whereas on regular Spring at the Farm dates it’s just $19.50.
