Canada Day in Harrison Hot Springs

Canada Day in Harrison Hot Springs

Canada Day celebrations take place across Metro Vancouver, including in Harrison Hot Springs. On July 1st the resort town has a parade, live music and more.

Visit the Tourism Harrison website for full details about this event.

TIP: On the weekend just before Canada Day in 2025 there was another special event. Sasquatch Days is an Indigenous event that features war canoe races, a salmon barbeque and other activities on the Saturday and Sunday of June 28th and 29th. Those days too were a most-interesting time to be at the beach in Harrison Hot Springs.

July 1st Parade and Canada Day Celebrations at Harrison Hot Springs

Harrison Hot Springs is a popular tourist destination in the Fraser Valley. It’s a beautiful place and especially popular in the summer. The town hosts a variety of events, including Canada Day celebrations on July 1st.

Canada Day in Harrison Hot Springs includes a parade, pancake breakfast and live entertainment. There are activities for young children and families too.

The annual festivities aren’t huge compared to some Canada Day events elsewhere in the Lower Mainland, but they are still definitely very much worth checking out. Harrison Hot Springs is a lovely place to visit any time of the year, but especially so when events are happening. It’s a super popular place, so arrive as early as you can if visiting on July 1st, especially if it’s a nice day with good weather.

Harrison Canada Day Parade Route

One of the highlights of the annual event is the Canada Day parade. The procession usually begins at 5:00 pm and runs for up to about an hour.

The parade starts outside the Sasquatch Museum located at 499 Hot Springs Road. From there, it moves north along Hot Springs Road before turning left at Lillooet Avenue. The procession then turns right onto St. Alice Street and right again onto Esplanade Avenue. The parade continues along that road before turning right at Chehalis Street and concluding at Lillooet Avenue.

In a typical year, expect to see classic cars, creative floats and marching bands during the parade. The roads are closed to regular traffic so everyone who attends can gather along the streets and watch the procession.

Visit the Tourism Harrison website for full details about the Canada Day event.
