About Aberdeen Centre

Aberdeen Centre is a large mall with over 150 stores, including the Japanese department store Daiso, more than one ginseng store, and numerous Chinese and other Asian boutiques and specialty stores.

Typical stores include those with names such as Ginseng World, Luk Fook Jewellery, Osaka Optical, Pinku Japan The Store, Taiwan Kwong Leung Hin Dried Food, and Ten Fu Tea & Ginseng. Also, a particularly popular store for children is Candyland. It’s a fairly popular mall with all kinds of interesting, exotic, and Asian stores.

Where is Aberdeen Centre?

Aberdeen Centre is conveniently located at 4151 Hazelbridge Way in Richmond. It’s right by the Aberdeen SkyTrain Station, a 25-minute trip from downtown Vancouver on the Canada Line.

 

Aberdeen Mall Hours

As of early 2026, Aberdeen Centre is open 365 days a year. Its regular hours are the following:

  • 11:00 am until 7:00 pm on Sundays to Thursdays
  • 11:00 am until 8:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays

 

Aberdeen Mall at Chinese New Year

Having lots of Asian stores and being popular with Chinese Vancouverites, Aberdeen Mall is understandably a great place to celebrate Lunar New Year.

A popular event during that time is the LNY Flower & Gift Fair. It usually lasts about a week each day during the Lunar New Year holiday season. During the event, vendors are set up in designated booths across the mall, selling flowers and other gifts.

Below is a list of festive activities taking place over the Lunar New Year season 2026. Lunar New Year falls on February 17th this year.

 

Monday, February 16th, 2026

Countdown Night to Lunar New Year of the Horse” is the New Year’s Eve celebratory event at Aberdeen Mall happening in the central atrium. The 2026 schedule is listed below. (All details are subject to change.)

  • Pre-Countdown Stage Show by Fairchild Radio – beginning at 8:30 pm
  • Personal Blessings from the Chinese God of Fortune – this happens around 10:30 pm.
  • Live Countdown with Fairchild Television – also happening around 10:30 pm.

 

Tuesday, February 17th, 2026

On the first day of the Year of the Horse, there is live entertainment at the mall starting at 11:00 am. The Golden Dragon and Lion Dance performance takes place in the outdoor courtyard.

 

Saturday, February 21st, 2026

Chinese New Year celebrations continue on Saturday. Here’s what’s happening at Aberdeen Mall.

  • Lion Dance – the traditional performance goes from store to store offering New Year’s blessings starting at 12:00 pm.
  • Vancouver Academy of Dance – performances from 2:00 pm.
  • Colours of Dance Academy – performances from 4:00 pm.

 

Sunday, February 22nd, 2026

The festivities continue on Sunday at the following times with the LNY Cultural Performace Celebration.

  • Cindy Yang Dance Academy – performances from 1:00 pm.
  • Vancouver Youth Philharmonic Orchestra – performs from 3:30 pm.

Saturday, February 28th, 2026

The final day of celebrations at Aberdeen Mall features a dance show presented by the Yuntang Dance Club beginning at 1:00 pm.

Other Events Around Lunar New Year 

During Aberdeen Centre’s 2026 Lunar New Year celebrations, visitors can also enjoy a mix of festive shopping and interactive experiences at the mall.

The Flower & Gift Fair runs from February 6th to 17th on Levels 1 and 2, featuring Lunar New Year gifts, crafts, treats, and floral displays.

From February 13th to 17th, guests can visit the LEGO Lunar New Year event at Unit 1295. It is a hands-on experience with photo opportunities and play for kids designed to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

During February 14th and 15th, Coca-Cola is hosting a Lunar New Year event at Kiosk 3. Shoppers can stop by and take part in Coca-Cola’s seasonal celebration.
