Richmond’s Aberdeen Centre Mall

Aberdeen Centre at Chinese New Year

Aberdeen Centre is a popular mall in Richmond with a distinctly Asian flavour. It has over 150 stores and is especially lively around Chinese New Year.

See below for information on the mall’s annual Chinese New Year celebrations, and then even further below for general details about the mall itself.

ABERDEEN MALL AND COVID-19

Back in March, in response to the outbreak of the coronavirus in the spring of 2020, Aberdeen Centre cut back its operating hours. Many of its stores also closed temporarily. Initially, the few places that remained open included the medical centre, HSBC bank, H-Mart Supermarket, a drugstore and a small number of food vendors.

As of May 19th, 2020, non-essential retailers in British Columbia are once again allowed to operate. As a result, an increasing number of stores at the mall are open for business.

To learn more about the shopping centre and its status, see the Aberdeen Mall website.
