Noel Holiday Light Festival in Surrey
The Noel Holiday Light Festival is a massive Christmas celebration in Surrey. It takes place at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds located at 17905 62 Avenue in Cloverdale. In 2025, the Noel Holiday Light Festival takes place on most dates between November 28th and December 28th.
The festival spans 30,000 square feet and features a large indoor area with a bar, food options, a stage for live music and entertainment, and Christmas decorations, including a huge lit tree. Indoors, there are also kids’ games, roaming festive characters, and a whole Christmas market with many artisans.
Outside visitors will find covered seating areas to eat and enjoy food trucks, sweet treats, and drink vendors. There’s a Ferris Wheel and a new Jack Frost-themed bar. There are also fire pits to warm up around and plenty of festive photo opportunities.
Bright Nights Christmas Lights at Noel
This year, the festival also hosts Bright Nights, which used to take place at Stanley Park. Over 800 firefighters and volunteers put together the display and it is quite spectacular. There are over a million holiday lights to admire in the display that follows a walkway around a large pond. Bright Nights is donation-based, and the proceeds go to the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund.

There are millions of lights in all sorts of configurations, ranging from animal shapes to massive light tunnels.
There’s live music, opportunities to take pictures with Santa and Mrs Claus, and dance performances, alongside roving character actors, like fairy princesses and the Grinch. Also for kids, there’s a candy cane slide, balloon twisting, face painting, crafts, games, and illuminated see-saws in the indoor area. The event also features a 50-foot-tall Ferris Wheel and bumper cars. Unlimited rides are included with admission.
Food and Drink Options
For food and drinks, there are several food trucks outside with covered dining areas and several fire pits. Food trucks include everything from Greek and Mexican food to donuts to coffee.
Noel Surrey is a licensed event, which means people over age 19 can buy alcoholic beverages. There are numerous bars throughout the grounds where you can buy liquor, but the best place is the new Jack Frost bar. The new bar is set up in a giant tent near the festival entrance.
