Free outdoor concerts take place in Shipbuilders’ Square in North Vancouver‘s Lower Lonsdale district on Saturday evenings in July and August most years.
In 2025 Long Summer Nights takes place in the Shipyards on Saturdays between July 19th and August 16th. Also in 2025, there is the Shipyards Night Market on Fridays throughout the summer until mid-September. It also has evening concerts.
Live Music at the Shipyards in North Vancouver
The Shipyards Night Market returns on Friday nights between May 16th and September 12th in 2025. It runs weekly from 3:00 to 10:00 pm at Shipbuilders’ Square. The event features live music, food vendors and a beer garden.
Another series of summer events in 2025 is Long Summer Nights at the Shipyards. That events run on Saturdays between July 19th and August 16th. At that event, there is themed entertainment, workshops and more to enjoy.
North Vancouver Saturday Concerts
In 2019 the Summer Sessions series of concerts took place every Saturday from early July until early to mid-August. The series hasn’t returned since then. However, in 2025, the renamed Long Summer Nights at the Shipyards takes place on Saturdays from July 19th until August 16th.
If you like live music and entertainment, then Shipbuilders’ Square is a great place to be on Saturday evenings. Most of the Long Summer Nights events run from around 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

- 19th of July – Mariachi Tabasko, Fernanda Sardeneta, Lussilia, Wasakaka All Stars, Mazacote.
- 26th of July – Léral, Luke Beach Brown, Aiden Ayers, Kylie V, Wyper & Parker.
- 2nd of August – Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nation members, Virginia Slim, Assbestos, Nicole Demers, Tim Hewitt, Bad Shah, The Squares Barbershop Quartet, Universal Gospel Choir, That’s Gay Comedy Troupe, The Dimes, Alexis Karr, The “Unstoppable” Conni Smudge, Gary Woods and DJ WhySoSerious, DJ Sage.
- 9th of August – Van Django, ArdyTronics, Delco, Big Easy Funk Ensemble, Felipe Gordon.
- 16th of August – Anna Navarro, Ben Parker & Phoenix Lauren, Josephine Walker, Dawn Pemberton, Uncle Strut.

Where is Shipbuilders’ Square?
Shipbuilders’ Square is located at 138 Victory Ship Way. It’s at the bottom of Lonsdale Avenue in North Vancouver just a five-minute walk east of the SeaBus terminal at Lonsdale Quay.
Look for the giant building with “The Shipyards” written in large white letters on the roof and the popular Tap & Barrel restaurant inside. Shipbuilders’ Square is on the other side of the building.
If coming from downtown Vancouver or anywhere by SkyTrain, the easiest way to get to Lonsdale Quay and Shipbuilders’ Square by public transit is via the SeaBus from Vancouver’s Waterfront Station.
If coming by car, Shipbuilders’ Square is in North Vancouver at the very bottom of Lonsdale Avenue. It’s on the waterfront side of the large white Pinnacle Hotel.
