Search for the Perfect Pint
The Search for the Perfect Pint event has been a staple in Port Moody for nearly two decades. It’s an all-inclusive craft beer celebration with various food options as well. Search for the Perfect Pint is a fundraiser put on by the Rotary Club of Port Moody. Proceeds from the event benefit local community projects.
This year’s Search for the Perfect Pint happened in Port Moody on Friday, May 2nd, and will likely happen again around the same time in 2026, though exact details are to be confirmed. The event ran from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in 2025.
All of the breweries and food vendors that take part in the festival are local (or at least BC-based), including many from the “Brewers Row” in Port Moody.
Location and Admission
Search for the Perfect Pint takes place at Port Moody City Hall. The venue’s address is 100 Newport Drive.
The event happens in the evening and is only for those 19+. Between 500 and 600 people typically attend. Most of the crowd enjoys their food and beers outside (at least in years with good weather). Some breweries and food vendors also set up indoors.
One of the best parts of Search for the Perfect Pint is that it’s an all-inclusive ticket. Admission costs a flat rate of around $55 for everyone. Once you’re at the venue you can sample from all of the breweries and food vendors for no extra cost.
Admission also normally comes with a beer sample glass that you can keep. An important note is that attendees are not allowed to arrive at the venue intoxicated. Entry will be denied if that’s the case (but why would anyone drink beforehand anyway?).
What to Expect
There are usually about 20 breweries and around six to 10 food vendors that take part. The event isn’t meant to be one where you sit down by a single vendor and have a lot of just their products. You’re meant to move around and try plenty of different things.
Breweries that participated in 2025 included The Parkside Brewery, Dageraad, Yellow Dog Brewing, Red Truck Beer and plenty more. Food vendors from past years have included COBS Bread and St. James’s Well Olde Irish Pub, among others.
There is usually live music playing at the venue as well. One of the artists who performed at the event in 2025 was Venus & Mars.
