Vancouver Giants Hockey

The Vancouver Giants used to be based at the Pacific Coliseum at the PNE, but now play home games at the Langley Events Centre. It is a much newer and more modern facility in the Fraser Valley. If you love watching live, affordable ice hockey, then their games are definitely one of “Vancouver’s best places” to be.

The Vancouver Giants

About the Vancouver Giants

The Western Hockey League (WHL) is lower than the National Hockey League (NHL), but still very exciting hockey to watch, plus much more affordable. Giants’ tickets usually cost between about $25 and $50, which is quite inexpensive when compared to Vancouver Canucks games.

As part of the Western Hockey League, the Vancouver Giants play against teams from all four Western Canadian provinces as well as from Washington and Oregon in the States. Other BC teams include the Victoria Royals, Kamloops Blazers, Prince George Cougars and Kootenay Ice (who are based in Cranbrook).

Vancouver Giants players range in age between about 16 and 20. They all hope one day to make it to professional hockey, and a fair number of them do!

Venue Locations

Since 2016 the Vancouver Giants have played their home games at the Langley Events Centre at 7888 200th Street in Langley. The same venue is also where the Vancouver Bandits basketball team plays their home games.

The hockey team usually practices at the Ladner Leisure Centre which is located at 4600 Clarence Taylor Crescent in Delta. Most practices are open to the public.
