The Showcase Restaurant & Bar is a really nice restaurant at the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel. It’s a great place, including for weekend brunches.

The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Happy Hour is twice per day, between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm and then again from 9:00 pm until 11:00 pm. There is also a Private Dining Room which is great for special events, and live music on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

Showcase Restaurant & Bar is the primary dining option inside the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Hotel. It’s open seven days a week and specializes in both international and West Coast cuisine.

The restaurant is one of the many great Places to Eat & Drink in downtown Vancouver. It’s also part of the Dine Out Vancouver Festival in early winter and offers other special menu items on various days throughout the year.

Showcase Restaurant & Bar’s eclectic menu focuses on fresh and local ingredients. The restaurant also serves sustainably-caught Ocean Wise seafood. Gluten-free and vegan options are available too.

Where is the Showcase Restaurant?

The Showcase Restaurant & Bar is located at 1122 West Hastings Street which is close to Coal Harbour in downtown Vancouver. It’s just a few minutes away from attractions like Canada Place, the Vancouver Convention Centre and Coal Harbour Seawall. Stanley Park is about a 20-minute walk away.

As of the last time we checked, the restaurant is open from 6:30 am to 11:00 pm on weekdays and from 7:00 am until midnight on weekends. Happy Hour is daily from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and then again from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm.

9:00 pm to 11:00 pm is also when the Late Night Lounge is open. On Saturdays and Sundays there’s the Showcase Lounge as well which is open until midnight.

Convenient for people staying at the hotel, Showcase Restaurant & Bar offers both buffet and a la carte menu options for breakfast.

As of early 2025 the buffet costs $38. The bigger individual breakfast items like eggs benny, French toast and vegetable frittatas cost around $25 when ordering a la carte. Breakfast is served until 10:30 am on weekdays and until noon on weekends.

After that it’s lunch until 2:00 pm. There is then a short break until dinner service which begins at 4:30 pm. The lunch and dinner menus change slightly by the season. Overall, however, the vibe within the establishment remains the same.

Entrées in the 2024/2025 Fall & Winter menu included items such as fish & chips, steak frites, jumbo prawn scampi, seared steelhead, butter chicken, duck confit and butternut squash casarecce. Those dishes all cost around $28 to $35.

There are also separate Happy Hour and Late Night Lounge menus which only add to the wide variety of dishes offered at Showcase. They include food and drink that you can’t get at other times of the day. Items on those menus range from $6 (like spiced nuts at Happy Hour) to $40 (for a fancy charcuterie and cheese board in the Late Night Lounge).

The lounge also features live music from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Private Dining Room at the Showcase Restaurant

A great feature of the Showcase Restaurant & Bar is its Private Dining Room (PDR). The recently renovated venue features modern amenities including audio-visual equipment, a 60-inch large screen television, and sliding doors for privacy.

With flexible seating, the PDR can accommodate up to 40 people for stand-up receptions. It can also seat up to 24 people for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The room is popular for people wanting to host special events including birthdays, anniversaries, wedding parties, business functions and other occasions.
