Tatum Night Art Event in Burnaby

Nix’s Tatum Night is a series of collective art events in Metro Vancouver. The immersive experiences feature drinks, music and interactive art in Burnaby.

Nix’s and PEKOE LESLIES Tatum Night

Tatum Night is a set of artistic and creative events happening in Burnaby during the summer. The series is a collaboration between Nix, PEKOE LESLIE and Invictus Events. In 2023, the events take place every evening between July 12th and 17th except for July 13th.

Tatum Night runs for four hours per day and features music, storytelling, drinks and art. Unlike most other art-related events, this series allows guests to participate in a big collective art piece. Everyone gets to express their creativity for around two hours using paint, markers and other art supplies included with admission.

The interactive experience is unique and held in a captivating space. There’s a mysterious atmosphere that sparks creativity and inspires the imagination. The art is all about self-expression and fun, so everyone who attends is welcome to participate. You don’t have to be a professional artist to join in and have a blast.

When and Where

The events run from Wednesday, July 12th, until Monday, July 17th. Daily hours are from 7:00 to 11:00 pm, except for when it’s closed on Thursday, July 13th. Each night begins with a 30-minute reception. The TATAM then kicks off at 7:30 pm.

Nix’s Tatum Night events are held at 3819 Still Creek Avenue in Burnaby. It’s a big warehouse located near where the Trans-Canada Highway crosses Boundary Road.

Ticket Prices

Tickets for each event are available online. They cost $150 per person, excluding online fees. Tickets are limited to only about 50 attendees each session (which makes it a nice, intimate and exclusive event).

Admission includes appetizers from The Greek by Anatoli, as well as one drink ticket. Additional food and beverages are on sale at the venue as well. All art materials are provided.

Tips and Advice

Below are suggestions to help you make the most out of your experience at Nix’s Tatum Night.

TIP #1: There’s no dress code for the series of events. Organizers recommend wearing something comfortable since it’s an interactive experience. Coverings for clothes and shoes are available on site.

TIP #2: Although the events are supposed to be interactive, participation is recommended, not required. All levels of artists are welcome, including beginners. The events are about self-expression, so be sure to participate and have fun!
